Timeline

Our I130 petition was approved September 17th. The 129F was not touched. Hence we will be taking the CR1 route. Only touches were the black hole of 02/24, then the transfer to CSC on 08/13, then receipt by CSC on 08/21, then touch on the morning of 09/17 and approval at 10:15 PM on the 17th.

For future reference, Customs Border Patrol stops me every single time I return to the U.S. for secondary processing due to a name similarity. It comes up as a hit in the IBIS database. I was extremely afraid this would cause a lengthy delay of the 130 petition approval because USCIS also checks the IBIS database (info posted here in VJ). So for anyone in the same situation; don’t worry too much. It did not seem to impact my timeline.

Thank you everyone.

We are taking the next few days to relax and decompress from the pressures created by this USCIS ordeal and gather strenght to start the NVC process.

Math Man, the fact they only approved our I130 petition and ignored the 129F petition I think confirms your experience when you tried to change address. In other words, it appears they only transferred the 130 petitions to CSC and have decided to ignore/cancel the 129F. Fine with me; we'll take the CR1 route. I was hesistant to take this road but I'm OK with it now that I'm familiar with this forum and have gotten valuable feedback from so many members going through the CR1 process.

Good luck to everyone still waiting. You are not forgotten.
