Greetings!

Thats not true! its not six months because you a are k1 fiance visa applicant....unlike I-130 applicant that takes around 6 months to be completed.

If your case in not affected from the new background check IMBRA law then it will not take that long.

Before IMBRA law it only takes a few days for NVC to assign new manila case number and forward the case to manila US Embassy. After US Embassy ,Manila recieves physical case from NVC they will queque for interview appointment... thats usually 2 months..and packet is mailed usually one month before your interview.

note:

you may mail NVC every now and then and ask for the status of your case...they will respond to that and even tells you , your new manila case number....once you have your new manila case number then all you needed to do is call US Embassy call center , tell them about the new case number and that status of that case...this way you will know ahead of time your interview schedule even befor the packet arrives.....i did this and it helps, though you must be patient in calling embassy every now and then..

thank you guys. i was not familiar with this kind of thing that's y. well anyways. i attempted to call US embassy but my landline company cannot reach US embassy's landline number which is mainly for pldt and smart users only. if in case they already have the papers with them. can i just start the whole thing earlier?. i mean can i request for the k packet already and call them for an earlier interview appointment?. think it will be hard for me to wait for another months. my birthday is near and im hoping to spend it with my fiance but its ok anyway..im willing to wait no matter what.. :innocent:
