My son was worried for a while that he did not received his biometrics appointment last week. Today, he received both his official NOA1 & NOA2 (biometrics appointment) notice.

My question is, is it okay to have his biometrics a day ahead? I'm planning to take him with me since my biometrics is a day ahead of him. I just wanted us to save a day trip and just go together...

Appreciate your response and thanks!

Worth a try. Most peeps don't seem to have much problem doing walkins before their appointed times and dates.

Hi Bulanglang,

Yes, you should try a walk-in, so you don't need to make an extra trip for your son to go the next day. And it shouldn't be a problem either, as the two cases are related. It's especially more convenient for you and your son too that you can go on the same day and not have to worry about you taking time off work and your son taking time off school.

Likewise, I'll be trying a walk-in next week as well (hoping that it will work), a week earlier than scheduled on the letter, but for a different reason. See this message thread for more info regarding my situation: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...p;#entry2218883

As mentioned, "the worst case is that they can turn you away and the best case is that they can get your biometrics done that day".

Good luck on your walk-in biometrics (and yes, do update here on VJ about that) and the rest of your immigration journey too.

My daughter and I had different biometrics date. Mine was few days earlier than hers. I brought her with me on my biometrics and they agreed to give my daughter her biometrics too. My husband came with us too.
