I am VERY thankful, but still curious as to why our case is being processed so quickly. Anyone have a clue?

Also, how long does it take for NVC to process AND forward our case to the Embassy? how long after they recieve they DS230 should we expect the Embassy to recieve it?

05-21-06 - Met online

12-29-07 - Married at 6pm THE LAST TIME I'LL FALL IN LOVE

07-28-08 - Mailed I-130(Chicago, $355 X 2)

07-31-08 - NOA1(I-130 recieved in Chicago)

08-01-08 - Hard copy NOA1 (I recieved the NOA1 via mail)

08-25-08 - Hard copy NOA2(I-130 approved and recieved by me)

08-27-08 - NVC assigns case number(verified via telephone call)

09-05-08 - Received DS-3032 and AOS bill(checked by phone and noted on travel web site)

09-05-08 - Paid AOS bill online --- pending (paid on-line $70)

09-06-08 - Emailed DS-3032 --- auto response (email that NVC recieved an email from Grace, nothing more)

09-09-08 - AOS bill --- PAID!! (noted on travel web site as "PAID")

09-11-09 - Grace recieved DS-3032s, still no response to the email...(wife got a birthday package from her hubby :) )

09-12-09 - Mailed DS-3032 via FedEx. Also mailed out AOS(paper mailed just to be certain they get one)

09-15-09 - NVC accepts DS-3032..FINALLY!!!(verified via email response and telephone call)

09-15-09 - IV Bill paid online - in process($400 X 2)

09-16-08 - AOS revieced by NVC and being reviewed.(verified via telephone call)

09-17-08 - Immigrant VISA Bill fee "PAID" (verified on-line)

09-24-08 - AOS approved(verified via telephone call)

10-06-08 - DS230 recieved by NVC

10-10-08 - CASE COMPLETED AT NVC

10-29-08 - Appointment Schedule for 12-9-2008(verified by telephone call to NVC)

11-03-08 - Recieved Appointment letter via snail mail

11-25-08 - Medical Exam at St. Lukes Medical Center

12-09-08 - Interview at 630am.......VISAs APPROVED!!

Congrats on your progress. :thumbs: We got from I-130 to DS230 in about 3 and a half weeks, thanks mostly to the invaluable advice found in these forums.

I believe it can take around 1 to 2 weeks for NVC to review then they courier to your embassy, should be there very quick

If you tell me why my case took 8 1/2 months to complete, I will tell you why your case took less than two months to complete....

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!

Clue? Yep, I do know why? USCIS is a mess and un-organized. I won't say that it is your fault as we all know it is not but probably they dumped you case on top of whole bunch of old files and yours got processed.

You didn't expedite it, did you?

At least this is good, I am happy that you are almost done with this process and you don't have to be apart from your spouse for long.

Nope, did not expedite. I am hoping that this will be the norm for everyone. I hope that it proceeds like this the rest of the way.

Two things come to mind and I do not know if it helped any:

1) I sent an OVERWHELMING amount of evidence to prove our marriage.

2) I am a veteran and I sent a copy of my DD214(discharge papers); hoping that the I130 may find it ways across the desk of a Vet Bro or Sis.

3) My wife is a doctor....don't know if that helps or not.

Maybe the second one! Anyways, this is great. Always remember that your family reunification worth alot and try to keep it together forever.

First question...

I checked with my buddies in the government...they said Ohio doesn't have enough Fillipinas...so you went to the top of the list. :thumbs:

Second question...

From where you're at today (AOS under review, all fees paid, haven't sent IV) it's all up to you.

Assuming no RFEs, by the time you submit your IV package, your AOS should have finished review.

From sending your IV package overnight, figure 10 to 14 days for case complete, and then another 10 to 14 days to send to Embassy.

This is based on current trends within the last 30 days.
