i filed an i-130 for my husband in july 17th-08 and then i filed an i-129f in aug 17th and i requested an expedite for the i-129f and i provide them with all my medical records and today i checked the status online and it says( case transfared to the local office for more processing) is this normal? can someone tell me what it means please? does it mean an interview? or they will send me an approval from the local office? or this is because of the expedite request? and if it is does it mean they approved my expedite or what? they are not saying nothing about the expedite just stated that the case was transfared for further processing ,now i am scared :crying:

Well, i know how you feel because this whole process makes you feel like you are on a rollercoaster.

I'm not quite sure what it means. however if you havent heard back from your request it probably is them looking into it. I wouldnt think it's an interview date because it has to go to the NVC still when it's expedited and then to the Embassy. They will then schedule the interview.

it took about 2-3 weeks for us to get our expedite request granted, but then the K3 was sent pretty qucik to the embassy. I possibly would also expect them to approve your I-130 aswell. I think they try and keep them together, so that might happen too.

I think no news is good news and that they possibly are just reviewing it. As i said before i am not too sure.

I hope this comforts you in some way. I'll have alook and see if there are any posts about cases being sent there too. If i find anything i'll post it.

thank you i really appreciate it and hopefully they will give me an answer soon . i know about the interview at the embassy but i meant a local interview at the local office and i checked the updates on the i-130 and they havn't touched it at all. they transfared the i-129f and this is the one i requested to be expedite so hopefully hopefully they will expedite it . i need my husband home ,i need surgerys in my back soon and its been two years already because i filed the first i-130 in jan 2007 and got denied 11 months later because they lost my file at the local office :( thank you
