I 864 ... problem filling # 22(b.)

Hi All,

Now I got Bar code sheet in the mail for I 864. I am a self employed. and when I filling out I 864...item # 22(b.) Self-employed as a/an ___________________ what should I write in this space?

Does anybody knows what doccuments should I send since my total income for the year is my salary for the year.

And I paid IV FEE online and I am waiting for signed DS 230 other doccument from my spouse. So should I send I864 and DS 230 together or I need to send it separately

What is your occupation? If you are self-employed your occupation is what you should put in there.

For example if you are a plumber that owns his own plumbing company you should put down plumber.

What is your occupation? If you are self-employed your occupation is what you should put in there.

For example if you are a plumber that owns his own plumbing company you should put down plumber.

As for proving your income, that info is actually in the I-864 (item 25 - page 8) and you would send your tax return plus:

If you checked box 22B (self-employed), you should have completed one of the following forms with your Federal income tax return:

Schedule C (Profit or Loss from Business), Schedule D (Capital Gains), Schedule E (Supplemental Income or Loss) or Schedule F (Profit or Loss from Farming).You must include each and every Form 1040 Schedule, if any, that you filed with your Federal tax return.

I have send them my I 864 package.... now when I track the package it was received yesterday... and called them .. they said it takes may be a week to put that in their system... so I am waiting if the doccuments I've sent is enough.

I have send my 2007 tax return(1040(ie. Individual income tax return), Schedule C(ie. Profit or loss from business), Schedule SE(ie. self employment tax). And I have enclosed Business liscence to prove I am business owner And I wrote a letter from myself stating that I made this much last year(2007) and I mention my estimated income this year(2008). I am hoping this doccuments be enough.

If Anybody knows if I need to be ready to send any other doccuments? I will be very thankful for the suggestion. So that I can collect doccuments if I need more.

On your 1040 if you are self employed and do not have 1099's - you may want think about adding tax transcripts or just foregoing the 1040 and submit transcripts which are available from the IRS - you can fax the request to them (IRS) and have within a week - I am self employed and it was a requirment due to no W-2's etc.

I was required to submit three years tho and all three years were transcipts and it went thru. Sumitted estimated amount of earning thru this year on letterhead with what I do also

I sent only copy of 2007 tax return because when I call NVC ..................Customer Serv.e Represantative told me to do so. As u told they might ask 3 year copy of tax return then I might have to order tax return transcripts. Do u know the best way to order the tax transcripts?

oh sure sorry-

just go to the irs website and pull up the form to order tax transcripts - fill out - print and fax! They are super quick so if you happen to get an RFE then you can submit back asap - you could get lucky tho - but for us - NO NO NO lol.

Yea I didn't get any RFE. When I call NVC and spoke with cus. serv. rep they say the case is complete and I called them twice after case completed at NVC. When I called first time represantative told me there is not interview date in October. And again I called October 10 ... customer represantative is telling me there is no visa no available call customer service after couple of months. I am wondering if its gonna take long time to forward case to the embassy and get interview date.
