Hi, I've gone ahead and read the US Consulate, Beijing website regarding the residence restriction that requires a 6 month stay. It only says I need a residence permit, which I have. I'm just curious whether anyone has actually done a DCF at the Beijing consulate and if they could relay their experience to me? thanks.

I doubt there's any member here who has but it's pretty straight forward. The case will end up in Guangzhou for the interview. For more China specific support try http://www.candleforlove.com

thank you pushbrk, i went on the site, registered but cannot post anything yet(not sure why and waiting on the reason) but I'm curious what your experience was. Did you file in Beijing? If you did, how did you find your experience? thanks.

i am in luoyang, and know a couple who filed in beijing. their process was par for the course. no major problems, except in relation to legitimate residence and income in the states.

this is a young couple that runs a few scam businesses skimming american's donations to chinese orphanages (not kidding - they think it's funny) and selling stuff on e-bay with different seller names that they sometimes deliver. the guy is from wisconnsin and fluent putonghua, and the wife is luoyangnese and can't speak a word of english. after DCF with parents to provide sponsorship and address they went to wisconnsin for a few weeks. the girl dragged the guy back to china by the scruff of his neck.

not exactly friends of mine, so i don't know much about the details. send me a PM if you wanna talk about it, or anything else. kinda boring out here in luoyang with the sugar in the farmhouse in penna shooting up all my surplus ammo and crashing my cars (LOL). if she backs over my motorcycle, though, i'm gonna be released from the I-864 by option 4.
