My Canadian fiance had his interview in Montreal on 6-30-08. The interview was approved. His medical had not arrived and our attorney did not inform us to getting a police certificate. The consulate stated that he had to send those two documents in and they would send his passport/visa back. He also suggested sending both together to cause less confusion. We sent both documents in one envelope overnight to Montreal on 7-14-08. The embassy signed and received them on 7-16-08. On 7-25-08 we sent an e-mail (only way to inquire..will not take phone calls). No response. Sent another email on 8-8-08 and they said they received the medical but not the police cert. Attorney sent inquiry on 8-13-08 and they said they could not find the police certificate anywhere. We sent a 2nd policy certificate (clear of anything) on 8-13-08 and they received and signed for it on 8-19-08. 9-9-08 we sent another email for an inquiry and they stated the consul had the file for review. It is now 9-16-08 and no visa. It is driving us insane. Anyone out there with problems receiving the visa after an 'approved interview' and the required documents received at the consulate?
