MDyoung.... a freakin legend....

I have alwasy been incredibly impressed with his knowledge about SSN and kudos for passing all of that on!

I totally agree. Its just such a shame that there are, in the words of another legend here on VJ, smart ### big mouths that don't show the appreciation or respect MDY deserved and so therefore, VJ now loses......resulting in everyones loss.

If you are reading this MD, which I actually doubt....yourock.gif There is a good chance there is more of us close behind you.

Did you get the impression he was leaving VJ forever? I had the feeling he meant he wasn't going to continue to participate in THAT thread. (hoping I'm right!)

Look, regardless of how much of a legend he is, he was rude to me. I didn't appreciate it. If you want to call me something, just say it.

I also did not get the impression that by my calling him a jerk I made him declare he was going to leave VJ forever.

It wasn't like I was turning around after getting some helpful advice and saying that to him. I said that to him after he repeatedly chastised me for not being rich enough to fall in love with someone overseas.

kitkat,

As aussiewench point out in another thread yesterday, that post in that thread was the last post he had made to VJ. And it still is his last post as of the time I am writing this. (Although he has been lurking as recently as earlier today.)

He was just on this morning. He certainly is an expert when it comes to social security issues and I would be willing to bet that he will respond if someone gets into SSN trouble, he just seems to be that kind of person.

In just reading the last page of this thread, I gather that something happened that was not entirely of a pleasant nature.

If you are reading this MDYoung... know that you are valued, regardless of what has been said. Your advice to me has been INVALUABLE and I have often wondered just how you became so imbibed with all your knowledge.

I for one hope you are not gone for good. We all still need you.
