call the FRE line of USCIS. its a good thing at least they are working on your petiotin and it gets approved within aweek or so after RFE is sent back.

When can I call and what is the numer?

Will it tell me what I need to do?

I do remember when we got our RFE showing online, I did have to wait for the paperwork to submit back with the requested docs. Usually once they get, it can be processed and yes at least you know they picked it up. I had no clue what they wanted and when I called USCIS it was like pulling teeth to see what it was - but did call back a few times later and found out.

I got an e-mail about 30 minutes ago. How do I find out what number to call? Need help becausee I do not want to wait to find out what I need to do. My wife is in China and it may take awhile to get what they may want

Usually the operator won't be able to tell you the details of the RFE.

I know it's nerve wrecking to wait for two weeks do not know what goes wrong.

Unfortunately, you have to wait for the hardcopy of RFE notice to know what is required and mail it back together with the RFE notice.

However, the good news is: you will get an approval as soon as the RFE enters into the system!

If you want to try calling the RFE line:

Call the 1-800 number.

Option 1,

Option 2,

Option 2,

Option 6,

Option 1,

ENTER USCIS receipt number

Option 1,

Option 3, Wait for "If our system"

Option 4

I hope I remember correctly and the menu hasn't changed. :-)

Philip, nothing is easy anymore and i hate to hate any longer but just get things done for the heck. Wish you all the best.

As for me, nothing since 9/08, hopefully not another black hole.

Thanks NicholeX08 at least they are finally around to doing something. The bad part is I won't know until I get the hardcopy in the mail. I could be doing something now to resovle it like collecting what they want. I sure it is not something I need from my wife in China. because not only would she need to get what they want. It would more then likely need translated and notarized. The mail takes about four days to get minimum from there.

you are just before me on the approval list so I am sure yours is in the same ply my was in just a little mixed up. Your approval should be anytime now.

Stay calm and do not freak out. Check again if you missed any document while filing I-130. If you did not miss anything then it could be as simple as leaving a column balnk either on I-130 or G-325A.

You will get a hard copy by the end of the week.

Thanks I sure hope it is nothing I need to get from China. I travel about half the time for my job and I can't do nothing about problems here at the fort when I am out of town.
