So today i went to one of the civil surgeon in S.D. I got my examination for H.I.V and T.B which I already did back home but I am suppose to do it again which obviously I just did. They were out of the vaccines so they referred me to the county clinic which they say will be cheaper as well.

I am a little confused about the vaccines as which vaccines am I supposed to get. Doc told me to get T.D and M.M.R! I just want to double with you guys if those are the only ones because I am so not looking to get my 3rd R.F.E for geting the wrong shots or possibly less shots?

Please let me know from your experiences which shots did you guys get for the k.1? B.T.W I don't have any record of my previous shots (immunization) which I can get but will take for ever due to the process back home. Thanks

I feel like I've been talking to my self on this particular topic :) any ways after doing an extensive research I have found the answer to my question. The doc is right I only need 2 shots, T.D and mmr

I have found this link from uscis which states that you need about 5 shots for adjustment of status which is not clearly explained because the age factor applies to every one. Here is the link

http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...0004718190aRCRD

Here is the link to CDC, (center for disease control and prevention) USCIS follows guidelines from these guys for our immunization, medical examination etc.

http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dq/civil_ti_vacc_2008_one.htm#vacc

As you can see on the above web page all those shots do not apply to most people who are doing aos for k1 cuz you need to be old enough to get married in the first place :)

B.t.w the cost of medical examination in S.D, cali was $95.00 which includes T.B and hiv testing

and as far as the shots go for TD and MMR they are only $10.00 for both. What a awesome deal from the county clinic :)

Sorry for rambling guys, I was sitting here bored out of my skull so I thought I should post all the above info for rookies like me B)

Hi... I'm betting that people were confused because you don't have a timeline and you posted in the section that reads as if you are in the US, yet you have K1 listed under your picture (as to where you are in the process)... If you're in the K1 part of the process still, you should be posting in the K1 forum.

To be honest, I can't figure out what's going on either. Maybe you should fill in your timeline and/or explain a little better your situation? If you're in the AOS part of the process, then you need to change your info.

Sorry, I'm lost as well. It's hard to answer your question without knowing what phase of the process you are in.

AOS & getting the SSN & the I-693

6/13/08 Applied for SSN for David ----- TRIP 1; 6/23/08 Went back to SSA 'cuz the person didn't pc all documents (rec'd letter from them) ----- TRIP 2

7/3/08 Went back to SSA; they said come back 7/9 if he still hasn't received it ----- TRIP 3

7/8/08 Got list of vaccines he still needed from CS by fax/phone; tested for immunity to MMR (only vaccine still needed) at our family dr

7/14/08 SSA called me in regards to problems at local SSA office

7/15/08 INFOPASS appt to fix POE name input error and then went to airport to fix POE name error

7/17/08 Received SSN card in mail and went to get state ID

7/21/08 State ID received in the mail and tested again for measles immunity

7/29/08 MMR shot #2 given and dropped off papers at Civil Surgeon (CS)

7/31/08 Picked up I-693, completed by local CS, (I paid $25, don't be fooled)

No one can tell you exactly what you need to have since we don't know your age/gender/previous history. Howerer, you can figure it out by yourself. You can look up your age-appropriate requirements here: Vaccination Schedule. Just pick a schedule that fits your age breaket and you'll see what vaccinations you should have for AOS. Hope it helped a bit.

Yes, I figured that. I am in the U.S now and obviously in the Aos process and that was where i posted originally but it was switched under the working & traveling prior to getting a G.C. I tried to edit my time line but it didn't go though due to some technical difficulty. How can I put my time line in the signature?

I am in K1.. I had payed $65 to the Civil Surgeon to transcribe my vaccines in the Philippines. I believe the MMR is to be given twice. I am done with TD shot. What the CS required me is to give him documentation for varicella which is for chicken pox. When I had my medical in the Philippines they didn't gave me varicella coz I had my chicken pox before basing on the scars i had. The CS wants documentation on it and it's either to get a blood test to confirm that I had my chicken pox or to get the vaccine again. What I did was went to the State Department and they had gave me the shot again. I brought it with me to the CS and he accepted it so he gave me the sealed envelop.

Thanks!
