JUNE 2008 K1 FILERS CSC ONLY!!

prolly catching up for the Monday when they were off.

but i think its moving even faster than that, because last week i checked the date and it was May 20!

almost 25 days processed in less than a week? thats awesome!

We should probably be cautious--those are VJ estimates, not what CSC is actually doing. It's good news, though--but we have to be cautiously optimistic I'd say!

But the VJ estimates are based on actual approvals that we are witnessing in these threads

Right, but we've all also seen that there haven't been too many approvals in the past few weeks, and there are lots of May filers still waiting (even though it says June 7). Basically, I'm just trying to stay realistic for my own sanity--I don't want to expect that the approval will come in the near future and then have to be disappointed constantly over the next month. It was a lot easier when May filers started getting approved--then I knew June was around the corner. Now that June is here (but moving sllooooooowwwlllyyyy), I don't want to overestimate when I should expect something.

actually, I think more people have been looked at then you think. If you look at the recently updated people in the list (which includes a number of late may/early june people) you will notice a number have received RFEs. (you have to actually click on their timelines, it doesnt show RFEs on igors list page until it hits the "RFE Reply(s)" stage.)

So those people have been looked at, so more people are being processed then you think. (even in our small sample).

even still.. i hope this week picks up.. 3 approvals by thursday is pretty meh.

I'm just remembering the glory days of July when there were 30-40 approvals per week (even one week with over 50!); how I miss those days! Again, I just don't want to start getting my hopes up too high. I'm already at the point where I jump whenever I get a new message notification on my email... and it makes waiting this out so much harder! Ah well--here's to hoping! (goes to get drink)

In all of my concern over this visa thing, I totally missed that today is a day to celebrate: it's Angela Lansbury's 83rd birthday!!! I'm a huge (HUGE) fan of Ang, and thus I have to say today is a great day regardless of visa progress.

YAY ANGELA!!! Here's to many more years of bringing joy to the viewing public!!!

Lol me too... and I'm not even remotely close to the date I could even be considered. I keep hoping I'll be that fluke end of june person that gets approved in with all the mid junes.

hey.. it happens! (sometimes)

Sadly, most of the emails I get are from people trying to sell me stuff. :crying:

hehe.. I hope so, but realistically I think the earliest it will come will be the first week in Nov (if I'm lucky). Though the closer it gets, the more I worry I'll be one of the unlucky people that get stuck. That must be so frustrating, esp given that they havent updated their processing times since July!! Those poor people cant even register a complaint because their still within processing times on a site that hasnt been updated in almost 3 months time.

Horrible week for us at CSC. I would love to know what the h*ll is going on there. Oh well, hopefully next week is our week!! :star:

yeah no kidding.. im getting jealous seeing vermont people with the same noa 1 date as us getting approved. I keep hoping well get a flood of approvals in on sat (friday approvals) -- that happens sometimes. I'm going to be super bummed if have a single digit week (which looks likely)

It is tough to wait right now.. I feel it too! That's saying a lot because during this entire time I've been very patient and not antsy at all. I think it was because I knew that the approval wouldn't come for awhile, and now I know it'll come soon!

When are you guys realistically hoping for your fiance(e) to come to the US based on the fact that they are now working on June apps (more or less working anyways)? I've read some people are hoping to get fiance here by Christmas... and that seems REALLY fast to my fiance and I. How long does it take to get the app from CSC to VSC to his embassy? We figured about a month total... is that realistic?

For us.. if we get approved Nov 1st (just picked a day) and the embassy gets his info be Dec. 1st.. then it's still about 1 month wait time according to VJ until the interview date... so we'd be lucky to get an interview in the end of Dec or in Jan sometime.

And.. my other question.. how do people afford to have their fiance get an interview say on a Monday, get their visa, then leave on a plane like 2 days later!? Do they buy last minute plane tickets? Those are extremely expensive (assuming the person is coming from somewhere they have to fly from, like Europe). That, in addition with the cost of moving, the cost of a wedding, the cost of the AOS, AND the additional cost of having 2 people live off of 1 income... seriously, how do people afford to fly so last minute and even travel to see each other for the interview or during the wait for NOA2???

I'm just curious. Guess I'm a little jealous cause we can't afford to do any of that.. just the basics and our wedding. I can't even afford to fly home for the holidays this year because I am saving all of my money for the wedding and stuff.

Guess I'm also a bit different because we are young and still in the "barely make enough to pay bills and save a little" stage of life. We can afford the wedding and his moving costs (all in all about 5-6000 dollars for EVERYTHING, including AOS and moving costs) with some help from my parents... and we'll be fine until he can work. But no room for extras.

I imagine other people who are older have been able to save money for longer than we have. And I suppose a decent number put stuff on their credit cards. Credit cards aren't an option for us really - I have already enough on mine and don't want to go into more debt.

Just thoughts of mine as we wait for our NOA2. I'm getting nervous that maybe we'll get an RFE. Or that we'll be one of those that hear nothing from USCIS for months still. But I'm trying to stay optimistic. :)

I wonder the same thing and I am older! Not all of us older folk can afford that sweetie, trust me. I can bet there are many older people out there who are struggling just like you are. We could only afford to visit just one time and thank god he could for 3 months! I have not seen him physically for 1 year and 5 months due to lack of funding. I just got a second job lined up and that wont start till next month. I make right now 1100 a month. I wash laundry in an old folks home (nasty job BTW LOL EEEWWW) BUT a job is a job and I am just happy to have one.

I am also going to school a few hours a week so I can get a baking job(something I could not do until now)

My ex would not allow me to work, go to school YOU NAME IT. So now I am this displaced homemaker who is busting butt to pay the bills and get her man home.

YES my life is WAY better, but I still struggle.

I wish I could just win the lottery and not have to worry if they will shut off my lights next week. I am happy though I have a job. a roof over my head (nice place to and my landlord is cool..lets me paint and that and fix it up)

and food in me belly (MMM I am HUNGRY NOW)

I get jealous to when I see people who are able to visit and then they complain that it will be forever till they see their loved ones. I want to say YOU get to see them Some of us have extra money to go:( BUT then I think , STOP it Meri, stop being a childish booger, they miss their lover just like I do.

SO YES I UNDERSTAND girl!! oh boy do I

* pats the sofa* come sit here and we can frown at others LOL)

Just remember though WE will be saving money on a ticket and those who can afford it wont..just more money for you both HEHE

GOOD LUCK TO ALL JUNE FILIERS!! I hope all your visas come to you fast and that even though I get jealous that some will be home sooner (YES YES I will work on it LOL) I am so happy that your sweeties will be back in your arms where they belong
