Panterchan I have been following ur story and great news...good luck.. I am hoping that i wll also get mine approved soon...

9/19/2008 - Mailed I-129F by USPS Priority

9/22 - Mail reached USCIS - CSC

9/23 - Check Cashed

9/23 - NOA1 Notice Date (now wait and pray that NOA2 should come soon!!)

9/27 - NOA1 received by mail

9/29 - Touched (probably to correct typos)

9/30 - Touched

1/14/2009 - NOA2 approved

1/20 - NOA2 hard copy received

1/22 - NVC received petition

1/26 - NVC sent petition to Embassy

1/29 - Received NVC Hard copy

1/30 - Embassy received petition

2/3 - Received P3 from Embassy

2/3 - P3 sent by Courier from India

2/10 - Confirmed that P3 is in embassy's system (called embassy, DOS)

2/23 - Called DOS - Got interview date verbally

3/9 - Medicals Completed

3/31 - Interview Successful

4/3 - Received Visa

4/20 - Arrival

Oana, how were you able to talk to an officer from the service center directly? We tried it last night. We talked to the girl forever and she was nice and said she would love to help us but there is no way to connect us with the service center and that they don't do that...USCIS told us the same as you have heard now: you are assigned, no problems so far, you should hear something in 2-4 weeks. Well that was the first of december. Now it has been 5 weeks (and 7 after being assigned) and still nothing. I hope we didn't get assigned to someone who is sick or on a maternity leave.

Panterchen, I know you don't care anymore about the answer to this question :dance: but I'll answer: my fiance is in the Army, he mentioned that to the person who initially answered the phone. So, I guess that is why they were kind enough to give him some info.

Did you finally get the e-mail from USCIS? or was the online status updated?

It was a total suprise to me that you got the information from the congressman and on the exact day of your approval, proving that he really looked into your case and maybe also put some pressure. :thumbs:

I'm sure you're more relaxed now and you can focus on your wedding. :dance:

Yeah, we got the CRIS email last night and the status online was also updated then. I think USCIS just waited with their reply to our congressman to be able to tell him we are approved!!

Great! What an exiting news! I'm so happy for you, Panter, Congratulations!!

My case got touched for 2 times, on Jan.6th and Jan.7th, then it went back to her sleep again...My fiance went to infopass yesterday, no help, just told him to be patient and it would take us about 8 monthes.

Oana,Stepha, hope we also get our good news soon. And good luck for your guys who has gotten NOA2...

im still stuck at NVC, i've been there for more than 4 weeks now, i just hope somehow GOd will work all this out this next week, or the next weeks the most so we wont have to postpone the wedding...

La multi ani si tie... sper ca ai avut un timp fain de sarbatori... i kinda stayed at home on these holidays (except for the new year event of course) working for school cos i really want not to fail any exam on this semester so i can take my final college exam when i come back next year...

Hey guys, I have some exciting infomation share with you. As what you knew, on Jan.4th will be the 60days after they received our RFE documents. So my fiance called them on Jan.5th(Monday), and the lady who answered the phone told us to wait, coz now they're still dealing with the cases on April, then she hung up! It seemed this lady didn't want to help, so my fiance made another phonecall, you know what? Story's totally different. The USCIS guy answered the phone said now they could do something to help us, since it's beyond 60days. And then he gave my fiance a service request no.(which I think means USCIS sent CSC a demanding actions and reminders), told him that we should get the reply in 30days, at most 45 days. Indeed, I found my case was touched in Jan.6th, and Jan.7th, which meant they're working on our case now.

So guys,you may keep on calling uscis until you got a service request. By the way, we also made infopass appointment on Friday, if we don't get NOA2 by this Thursday, maybe my fiance will go there to get more information.

No answer from your service request, Evian? We got ours saying they have to perform additional reviews- I'm afraid we may be stuck in security checks. My fiance jokes I'm the problem as he became a citizen in May last year and he was checked back then. We can't be stuck because of him, it must be me- me, the bad guy trying to steel away one of their American citizens :devil:
