we are with you panterchen...you are not alone...

Hey, guys!

We too have a new infopass appointment for Dec 19 (after 178 days of waiting then) to get answers. I mean we just get more and more worried. We are assigned to an officer and yet nothing happens for over a month? #######

We just hope to find out if by then we are in security checks or whatever. I mean really. Sure NOA 2 could come any day now but we just want to know what's going on with our case so we can reschedule our wedding if necessary and me I would like to get another job then....(because the one I have now is only good temporarily and #######)

On day 180 we will contact our congressman and the supervising committee of USCIS. One of those things we hope will bring success.

Today is a really bad day. EVer since I got up two hours ago, I feel stressed and am in a bad mood. I hate this uncertainty.

P.S: Someone here said that the call center agents said infopass isn't recommended. Sure, it will not speed up your process in any kind of way but you will at least find out whether your case is stuck some place or whether you are already assigned to an officer. So for some people (like us) this helps.

In Christ alone my hope is found;

He is my light, my strength, my song;

This cornerstone, this solid ground,

Firm through the fiercest drought and storm.

Hey, guys!

panterchen, try to put your mind to something else. I was like you one month ago: nervous, depressed, talking only about the visa issue and I said to myself one day: "stop! don't let this ruin your joy, rule your life, you have to be stronger!"

we will get NOA2, it's just a matter of time. and what would be the worse scenario? to postpone our wedding, it's sad but not the end of the world.

we are here for one another and if you need to express your feelings, we are here for you, but try to enjoy this beautiful period of the year. It's Christmas...

I'm waiting for snow to fall, today I bought the last Christmas presents....

I really think at the InfoPass Appointment they are able to give you something to hold on to !

Evian, of course the lady told you not to bother, because it is their policy not to encourage people to go down to the local offices . "Just sit and wait, people, don't you bother us with your worries. So what if you havent's seen your loved one from Europe/Asia/Australia in many months ?????? I NEVER saw Europe/Asia/Australia !" :bonk:

Well, like I said, we have the Appointment on Dec 15th.

Stepha, yours is tomorrow, so I'll pray for you guys. Keep us posted!

I don't know why my hopes are so high for this appointment, probably it will be a great disappointment. But the 60 days expire this Sunday so tomorrow it's the last working day- I'm just curious how they can explain not replying to us within their own deadline.

I can't say that the infopass appointment really helped: the guy looked in the system, said he could see we had had a RFE and that the answer was positive , that the last info was from 12.06 (this I didn't know) and that our files was in the adjudication process and probably would be solved by the end of the year. (well- this was in the spirit : wait and see). That was all.

I think that my baby was impressed by the "don't worry, it will be fine" attitude (he doesn't read this forum to see that this is a general attitude and not particular to our case) and he forgot to ask why it took so long and why didn't they answer to our rfe within their own deadline.

If we won't get the NOA 2 until the end of the year we'll fix another appointment for January.

Good luck Oana for your appointment on Monday.

I saw Marty08 got also approved :) We are fewer and fewer , meaning our approval is just around the corner.

Have a nice weekend.

I called USEM to schedule the interview. It's on January 26, 2009 at 7 a.m.

My fiancee is still waiting for the letter from USEM, but when I called to schedule the interview, his case was was ready to schedule for an interview as of dec 9, 2008. I hope the letter is not lost in the mail. Maybe I can send him a copy of the letter from NVC that i received.

good luck on your interview =)

Did you/your fiance received confirmation email from USEM about schedule of interview? My fiance called USEM then 30mins after i received email about my interview schedule. I printed it out and showed to St. Lukes that i already have schedule. Also, you can scan your NVC letter and email to your fiance. She can show both of that letter for her medical exam coz they need Manila Case #.

Goodluck!

Just checking in to see how you guys are doing--I hope USCIS brings you much Christmas joy with some serious approvals!!!

you're getting close to the finish line there!

Everything worked out peachy for us so far, I'm heading down to Australia on Saturday and will be down there almost a month after sticking a week + 1/2 onto the time we already get off for christmas. We managed to get an interview close to the holidays so I'll be going with him January 6th.
