If you want to talk to a second level person you have to demand it from the first level staff. Some won't let you through and tell you that they don't have a reason to put you through and are thus not allowed to do it. Others will just say "ok, sure. i am happy I can help you".

We always asked for second level support by saying that we know they have computer problems and that thats why we would like to talk to a second level person. One lady got really rude saying she couldn't do it, but all others were fine with it.

Thanks Panterchen, we'll try it on Monday, although I don't get my hopes up.

It's funny, I noticed we are now left 2 Germans and 2 Romanians (I'm Romanian but living in Belgium) so: Go Germany!! Go Romania!!

It's 6 months since we sent our file but yesterday I decided not to feel down anymore, I have to become back myself, Christmas is coming and I want to enjoy it. It will be a great period: my birthday, Christmas, I'll see my baby and we'll spend the holidays with our parents. What can be more wonderful ? Yes, yes, of course, a NOA2 can make it perfect :star:

The worse scenario: we don't get the NOA2 in time (= middle of January at the latest) to have the weeding (the church ceremony and the party) when we set the date (4th of July - in Romania) I hope we won't get there but even if we do-it's not a tragedy, we'll postpone the wedding.

Life is good and let's enjoy it!!!!!! :star:

Same for us, We need NOA 2 by mid January at the latest to make the embassy stage and thus our March wedding.

It would be a nightmare to reschedule all of that.

I got my bridal gown this saturday. I am so excited and whenever I see it hanging there in my room, I am just realizing how happy we are and what a great luck this is!!

Stepha,

I'm glad that you are back to thinking positive!!!! I'm back and forth all the time, hoping that we'll get our NOA2 before Christmas so that we'll make it in time for the wedding at the end of march.

I'm also looking forward to seeing my love on Christmas and spending time with him. It'll be good and hopefully get my mind of the visa thing for a little while.

Maybe we'll even see some things happening next week!!!!

I'm still praying for all of us....

Wow, 2 weddings in March, one in July, what about you Oana and Natan ?

Where do you have your weddings kiwie and panterchen, probably in the States, right? Otherwise you would have also taken the time to get the advance parole...

Yeah it will be in the US. AP not necessary for us. Our honeymoon will probablybe a little after the wedding and in the US. I guess it is big enough to find a nice place to stay at ;-)

I hope USCIS starts working this week!

Im gonna have my wedding in march too...so there are 3 of us now.. it will be march 14th, in a lil town close to LA...

i checked my visajourney timeline this morning while i was talking with the love of my life and i had like a bad surprise: my NOA2 timeline expectation jumped from November 27-December 6 up to December 18-January 12... i dont really get it why because lately they've been moving pretty fast in California too with the visa processing and they got to July 20...anyway, God is in control and nothing is surprise for Him...and even if for USCIS im just a simple "number" and many times i feel like that, for God im a son...

so kewie, stepha and oana31, ill pray for you ...

blessings, Nate

In Christ alone my hope is found;

He is my light, my strength, my song;

This cornerstone, this solid ground,

Firm through the fiercest drought and storm.

Guys, everybody is sooo organized. Nevermind USCIS, we have our plans ready!:thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

My wedding will be in Romania, on July 26th. That is IF these wonderful people will give me my AP on time. If not, no biggy, there is still time.

Guys, hold on to your hopes and dreams, they will come true. You gotta live the day and not wait for it to be over!:dance::dance:

Anyway, Natan, welcome to this forum !

P.S. yeah, what's with that timeline, Natan? Mine says something like that, also !

Don't know if you guys read the other threads...

At the infopass appointment yesterday they told us that our case already got assigned to an officer on Nov 13 and that we should hear something from USCIS in the next 2-4 weeks. Good nws! Let's hope it will be an approval!

You can do it online easily visa the USCIS web page I think. You can schedule an appointment for just a few days in advance at your local USCIS office. Just bring your NOA1 if you already have one.

Yeah, I hope so too. However, Dan told me that the lady at the office also said that it is taking a little too long for us and asked him question whether I ever had visa issues etc. Nope, never did.

Only had a J1 back in 2001 and have never been in the US again after 2004.

Let's hope we will all have good news before christmas!

That's interesting Panterchen.

So does that mean that it'll take longer if you've had a visa before?

Has anybody else ever had any experiences with that???

I think we'll make an infopass appointment if we haven't heard anything by the end of december or beginning of january...

I don't think it takes longer because of a previous visa, honestly.

Plus she said that we already got assigned to an officer Nov 13 which is around the same time other June filers with around the same date as us got approved. So until there we were totally on time. Maybe our officer now just enjoyed a niiiice vacation for thanksgiving. That's my guess. They cannot have found anything significant otherwise we wouldn't be assigned yet I believe.

Any other suggestions otherwise?

Kiwie I think you will hear something soon. USCIS just seems to have a lot of back log plus people going on vacation and getting sick...
