I have no idea what to hope for--I don't want to start freaking out when it doesn't come as expected! We're hoping that Spurs can start classes at my university in January, so ideally everything could be done by then, but it's looking less likely by the day. :( Ah well--we'll just do our best to stay patient and hope that we get sorted soon!!!

Have any of you thought about making wedding plans yet?

I'm not a June filer, but I thought I'd give you a heads up. Have you talked directly with the university about your plans? Typically they don't accept enrollment unless the person is a greencard holder unless that person files as an international student (and for the appropriate student visa). Not to mention you're going to pay out of state tuition until your hubby has permanent residency. I looked into this stuff closely when my SO was looking to do the same, and we had to postpone our hopes for this for awhile.

Luckily for us it's all sorted pretty easily--I'm on faculty, so he has a tuition waiver and thus we don't have to worry about any of that. Coming in on a K1 visa is fine--he can start before we adjust status or anything. Basically, as long as we're married by the second week of classes (our last add date) he can immediately enroll. I have taken to referring to this as my $20K/year raise

Gee, I wish I was so fortunate with that situation. :)

Man, this IS really frustrating...

I am trying to stay positive like we all do, but it's just killing me when I check Igor's list and see that Vermont, which receives LESS petitions, approves MORE! It doesn't make any sense to me... Week after week, CSC is going at snail pace. I'm sick of it! Arghhhhhhh....

Maybe I should send my fiancee down there (he lives like 15 min away) and have hime help them out :)

I wish I could afford to get a ticket to see him BUT a 2 way is about 2800 bucks! I really wish I could afford it. We only got to have a lil over a 3month visit BUT it was the best 3 months of my life.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one--I feel particularly anxious today. We're really lucky--we get to see each other more than most--but this wait is just killing me. I've had a really long week at work and every night when I've been driving home I can't stop myself from wishing that he would be there to help me decompress. Gah.

It looks like the average processing time for CSC is 149 days right now, so--while this SUCKS--we should definitely be in the home stretch. Hopefully some CSC June filers will start seeing approvals toward the end of October!!!

Come on you guys, think positive! ;)

We've waited for 4 months and it's only one more month. ONE!

Of course it's frustrating to spend the days and nights without him/her.

But we are all brave and we'll get over it.

What can be more beautiful than the thought that I'll be his wife and he'll be my husband next year and that I'll spend the rest of my life next to the man who completes me ?

Btw, I'm Stefi, I'm new here and, like you, I have my baby over the Atlantic. I knew he was my soul mate from the very beginning, I could just feel it, otherwise I wouldn't have got involved into a long distance relationship and he wouldn't have either. I miss him with all my heart.
