I really don't see why they have to be so slow right now. Anyway, it is less than a week until election, so there is not anything they can do now for the citizenship applications! Either they start again today ot tomorrow with our I-129F's or there is something else going on.

Of course the waiting is depressing, but let's stop saying that, because writing and reading over and over that the waiting is depressing / brutal will do us no good!

Question: do you guys think it has anything to do with having a new president? I mean, could USCIS say "let's wait, see, maybe if Obama will be elected he will ask us to freeze the immigration process for this year" ? I don't know, it's just a weird thought, coming from a tired mind.

Gosh, Oana31!

You are saying that reading and writing words like "depressing/brutal" does us nothing but brings us down, and then you toss in a thought like that!

"let's wait, see, maybe if Obama will be elected he will ask us to freeze the immigration process for this year"

Are u kidding? I'd rather be reading about how depressed everyone is than think about the new President freezing the pending immigration cases! ROFL

WAHHHHH-HOOOOO!!!!!

I had stayed up until past midnight checking the USCIS site before giving up and going to sleep, but I woke up a few minutes ago after having a dream that we were approved. I came on here, then gave in and checked USCIS. WE'RE APPROVED!!!! We were approved yesterday (10/28). I immediately called Spurs, who I think is fairly certain that this process is driving me nuts. I think he's right!

Now here's hoping that the rest of you get good news soon, our files actually make it to NVC and make it out again quickly, and we all have speedy and fruitful interviews at our respective embassies!!!

aww see i told you it would happen soon for you! I was very happy when I saw your name at the top ;-)

Also a few more comments:

1. It seems most of the people being approved have timelines of around 130 - 135 days. So if your timeline is in that range.. lookout it could be any day for you! (my 130 day comes on Nov 4th.. I'm hoping for a great new president and my approval to make for a fantastic day!)

2. Did everyone notice we got a lot of late last week approvals posted? I think we went from 11 to 14. So Cal is working, its just CSC visa journey people are slow to update. (I finally broke the 140-149 range after two weeks.. 138 Igors now whew!!!)

We were at 122 on Igor's when we were approved--usually the oldest filers who are out of range are deleted when USCIS updates their site, but that didn't happen this time (perhaps because it went to 6 months instead of a date?). So don't worry if you're still low--people are getting approved in the low 100s now!

Good luck annax, RyDa, Stepha, and everyone else--we're pulling for you!
