Nothing to report here... still no touches or approvals or RFE's.

I think the date you are in June doesn't matter so much anymore... so who knows when everyone will get processed!

Hopefully after the election it'll speed up. Until then, I'm trying not to get my hopes up. It's too depressing!

Have a great week!

i know this might sound like a silly question, but how does the election slow down/affect the processing?

A poster has a contact (brother-in-law, maybe?) at USCIS who said that they had shifted resources to approve a backlog of citizenship applications so that newly-minted citizens could vote in the election. By now, however, it seems unlikely that anyone could register, so hopefully they've sent them right back to I-129F adjudication!

Only citizens can vote, so it will be quite a long time before any of our spouses can...

Well I guess it was nothing... No update today, no more touches, nada.

sigh.

=( I wouldn't give up yet, I still have hope for you.

I'm getting extremely frustrated with how slow CSC is ... 0 approvals so far this week while vermont has 4. You'd think due to the fact that CSC gets more applications they would have more approvals, not less!

I disagree. I think it doesnt matter too much if you filed in Vermont, they seem to be all over the place with their approvals. One day an early june, then a late june, then a may then a random aug/sept/oct. If you look at CSC, however they seem to pretty much go in order. A few applications take a little bit longer so you see us bounce back a few days or so (usually for RFE filers), however they are slowly and steadily moving forward. You dont see huge jumps to the end of the month like you do in Vermont. You will however see the earlier people show. Right now they seem to be working on dates in the 15tth - 19th range.

I suspect we have more RFE filers then vermont as well. Two filers with a 16th Noa1 got an RFE yesterday.

I also really suspect we have a number of filers at CSC who dont update their profiles.

ok and to add evidence (and really to make myself feel better about the low approval rates coming from Cal lately) I looked over a few of the member profiles from early june. There are a good number of people with early June dates who havent logged onto this site in months. (were talking june, july, aug as the last log on time). So I suspect the approval numbers just look really dismal for Cal, when perhaps they arent as bad as they seem. Perhaps a number of people dont come back and update.

It's easy to get frustrated while we are on the home stretch waiting for the NOA-2. Villa, they touched your file for a reason and I suspect you'll get your approval soon, hopefully by the end of the week. Please let us all know when you do, so we can celebrate with you.

Ours hasn't been "touched" since the NOA-1, so a touch would be nice to see, but at this point CSC can kick me in the head.. Just let me know our file isn't lost or buried somewhere.

We will all get there, but man this wait is brutal..... good luck to all.

wow so u june filers arent really getting approved these days are ya?

Well....I received approval on Oct. 23, I was expecting a RFE because I did not put any N/A's in the blanks, so I would

be saying that the june filers should also expect approvals any day!! I have a June 18 date for NOA1, so don't give up hope!!

Cheers,

Scott

I'm with these June filers, without them being approved we'd be stuck, be it July, August and so on!

They will get their approvals, hopefully a bursts in NOA2's for these guys and gals in this June CSC thread.

The touch with no result is really depressing me. I really need to stop getting my hopes up--it's too much of a let down when nothing happens.

I really don't see why they have to be so slow right now. Anyway, it is less than a week until election, so there is not anything they can do now for the citizenship applications! Either they start again today ot tomorrow with our I-129F's or there is something else going on.

Of course the waiting is depressing, but let's stop saying that, because writing and reading over and over that the waiting is depressing / brutal will do us no good!

Question: do you guys think it has anything to do with having a new president? I mean, could USCIS say "let's wait, see, maybe if Obama will be elected he will ask us to freeze the immigration process for this year" ? I don't know, it's just a weird thought, coming from a tired mind.
