he just said, the guy that usually approves them is really busy and they just laid off a bunch of employees so he wont get around to mine until jan. . ? your thoughts?

how did your lawyer get this info?

he claims to have spoken with the guy who usually tends to his petitions. . .

I agree..Your attorney sounds like he is full of BS and yanking your chain..YOU were better off doing it yourself with the help of VJers. He wont make it go any faster and it waste money I think to give $$$ to one when you can do it yourself.

Not trying to sound mean but your lawyer sounds like a moron hunny. He does not have access to USCIS OR CSC OR VSC information. He can only call JUST like us and say HEY what is going on.

I doubt we will be in Jan for July (july filer here as well) But I think it will be nov and dec.

I do not think I would trust a lawyer or the one you have..sounds like he wants more money and telling you this so he can get extra $$ from ya all.

Not sure but that is my take on this guy/

ANYWAY GOOD LUCK TO ALL JUNE FILERS HERE!! WE ARE CHEERING YOU ALL ON IN JULY THREAD!!

HUGS ALL!!

Why are we so quick to dismiss the lawyer? He may have overstated the claim that he knows the adjudicator who personally would be working on his client's petition, but we can't say that he doesn't have contacts amongst the adjudicators or inside CSC. We don't know. Layoffs are a possibility--we have no idea. Unless we have evidence proving otherwise (or, more specifically, disproving his account), the lawyer's comments are possible, even if they're not probable.

I really hope he's wrong, but we can't know for sure. All we can do is hope that we see lots of approvals around the corner.

I think your lawyer was probably told just the usual 6 months filing time that they tell everyone. I'm usually a pessimist but i dont see this taking that long. First of all they are processing people in about 4 -5 months atm. Secondly I can't imagine they are laying people off. The have to make so much money there. $455 USD per application and the apps only take 15 min to process, but yet look how long it takes for approval. They must get an obscene amount daily. I really doubt it costs 455.00 to process each one. Further they are very behind, I cant imagine laying off people when you are behind and yet also updating the website that says you are making the correct time. *shrug*

Id guess 4 - 4.5 months for approval

If anything is going to hold us up at this point, i think its going to be doing all the flood of old calls and apps that must have come in after they posted that 6 month date. Which is only fair.

I agree I think the same...

From what I gather they have not laid off anyone however with elections coming I guess rumor has it they are helping SO no lay offs just borrowing a few to help out LOL

I just want all of us to get our sweeties home..plain and simple.

I realize others get impatient BUT over all this is normal in the time it is happening. I pray we do not have to wait a year like some folks
