Process times for biometrics

Hi guys,

I live in Philadelphia. I recently filed for AOS, EAD and AP.

May 04, 2006 They received my application.

May 11, 2006 Notice date on all of NOAs

May 15, 2006 I have got all NOAs

People say in most posts that they received their biometric appointment letter about 4 to 7 days after NOAs received. Today is 24th and I did not recieve anything for the biometrics. What could be the reason?

Also, I thought these applications had to be sent to chicago office. The reciept numbers on my NOAs starts with MSC, which I believe stands for Missouri Office. Is that normal?

I am worried so much. I appricate for your answers.

After going to the Chicago lock box they go to the Missouri Office - this is completely normal and standard practice.

As for the Biometrics it is a dangerous game trying to figure out when things will happen because of what happens to other people. It can be a useful guide but nothing more.

Some people will wait longer than others - it all depends on how busy your local application support office. Don't worry yet!

Yikes, people get their notices for biometrics that soon? We didn't get ours until sometime into the second month after the NOAs, for an appointment 3 months after our NOA date. You don't have anything to worry about until you hit day 90 after your NOA date. Then you can make an infopass appointment and find something out. Until then, chill, no need to worry yet.

07/15/09 - Citizenship ceremony. Alhamdulilah, the US now has another american muslim!

We didn't receive the biometrics appointment till a month after receiving the AOS interview letter - so it doesn't follow a strict pattern - its all how far behind or current is your local office in scheduling biometrics. We couldn't change it through infopass but on the day of the interview he ordered same day biometrics for us. Relax it just takes time but will happen. good Luck
