I am having a hard time being a newbie here in the states, from being very busy in my country to being here doing nothing i also assume it is worse for men.... so tell me how have you'all managed to cope during this long waiting period that seemingly never ends?

I have been here since June.

We are married now and just filled the AOS/EAD/AP.

He goes to work daily while i sit here watching movies and doing nothing... its hard especially for someone who previously had a busy schedule.

Well like you said thank god you two are waiting together and not seperated.

It will get better. have you applied for the work permit?

Post stupidly on VJ OT, that's what most people seem to do

Seriously though, volunteering etc all good options if you have access to transport. Meetup is a good website if you have hobbies and you want to get to know people locally who do the things that you do.

I can't imagine being bored, but I can imagine it being tricky if you have limited income/access to transport. Good luck anyway.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

It can be tough. What city are you in?

Definitely, you could volunteer, or take a class in something you've always wanted to study?

Maybe join a gym or a dance class if you like to exercise? Clean up your resume, start studying for driver's license exam if you plan on getting your license...

Hang in there, hopefully you'll get your EAD ASAP.
