Infopass appointment for case information

My husband has an Infopass appointment for next week to try to find out what is going on with his EAD and AOS cases. However, he is starting a new job on Monday and won't be able to go to the Infopass appointment. Can I go for him and get the update that we need or does he have to be there? Does anyone know?

I have no idea if you can go for him but what are you going to say is the reason why he cannot be present. It is his EAD that has not come yet and you will tell them that he is at work? Maybe I misunderstood...........

They will not give his info to you even though you are his wife - you could try taking a power of attorney signed by him and see if that will work or not but its kind of fishy why he can't be there - you will ned a better reason than that or just reschedule the appointment. Good Luck

Your husband has to attend the infopass appointment. If he is unable to attend then I would suggest you cancel the appointment.

Sorry for the confusion. My husband has an interim EAD that we got from our DO back in March. So he is working legally.

I just did the same thing. Although I was not asking for specific information, they did not really want to help since my husband was not there. It was a question about the SAVE system, we are still trying to get his SSN since he has received his EAD. I work about 2 miles from the office and my husband was at home watching our daughter. They basically said the only thing I could ask about was the I-130. (DUH, I don't need to ask about the I-130, that was approved almost a year ago). But they said that if we had questions about the EAD, AOS, etc... then he would have to be there.

My question was general, not even specific to my husband so the manager came out and talked to me. Not much use, since they are not able to update the SAVE system anyway. More time wasted because of the Misinformation line.

I've gone numerous times in ST.Louis with questions regarding the status of our AOS and always got answers from the ladies in the office. No problem and my husband didn't have to be there.
