I saw this this morning and to me it begged the question:

When should honesty be its own reward? For this person at least the importance of bringing the facts into the open was more important than keeping her job.

Should we ask for at least a similar level of honesty from all those in public life, particularly politicians? Is it acceptable to lie (Bridge to Nowhere) if the end (election of the party you support) justifies the means? (just one example)

Anyway, for better or worse, this was one woman's decision in the aftermath of a tragic event.

I think blaming a dead person might be politically incorrect. So you fire the person being politically incorrect. Then you hang the person who fired the person who was politically incorrect.

Right on. More proof that honesty (anti-political correctness) is being punished. Stupid liberals.... thanks

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

You might want to point to your conservatives too, because this isn't just a "liberal" thing, as much as I'm sure you'd love to blame it on another group that you don't identify with.

I wonder how politically correct "liberal" champions like Bill Maher, George Carlin, and Lenny Bruce are/were. Hmm? :)

I'm often called a liberal, even though I don't associate myself with the beliefs of others. I'm hardly a politically correct person.
