"Fueled by a surge of support from white voters," Sen. John McCain has narrowed a 10-point gap and now trails Sen. Barack Obama by just three points, 48% to 45%, according to a Quinnipiac poll.

McCain's convention bounce is fading, He only peaked at about 3 points above Obama. Now he is down to about even with Obama. There are a couple factors that are working strongly against McCain in the next few weeks. He will be made to look silly in the debates. Voters will finially get to see them compared side by side. The economy is center stage again, an issue for which McCain is prescribing more of the same.

It's the electoral votes, not the popular votes that matter.......

There are some polls that give McCain the lead in electoral votes too. I'm afraid the liberals/democrats have imploded once again.......

repeating the big lie only works on SOME of the people all of the time.

co-sign.

Oh, stop.

This is New Jersey! Heavier than normal turnout in Essex, Hudson, Camden, Union and Middlesex will seal the deal for Obama. I can't see how that will be a challenge.

Mayors are going door to door signing up voters. Mine came by last weekend. There will be plenty of new voters in by the Oct 14 deadline.

ps. I live in a middle-class middlesex town.

;)

I want to move home simply because I lived in Canada my whole life and the States scares me.

There are many many times when I wonder why we came here but it's too late to change what we have done now, I'm here.

Hopefully someday we will go back.

Haven't we heard about voter registration drives before? It did wonders for Kerry in 2004. He got more votes but got swamped by a bigger turnout for Bush.

New Jersey really isn't a swing state so any news from there doesn't represent the rest of the country.
