Hello,

I am a 10-year green card holder, just received it monthes ago.

My husband wants to kick me out of his life. We have been married for 3 years.

Would I be denided to enter the US with my green card if my husband is trying to file any complaint about me?

Right now I am overseas and he is overseas too.

thanks

What is the complaint? Will it result in some sort of arrest? I think if you have a criminal record they can technically deny you entry but it will be hard to do if you are a green card holder

Sorry I am not much help!

You see, when my husband kicked me out, he wanted to take everything from me, my money, ID, my passport and my green card. I am afraid he will do everything he can to prevent me from going to the US like telling the US authority that I used him, etc.

I do not have a criminal record.

Are you both living in the US now? Or are you both living abroad? Is there anyway you can go the US now and, for lack of a better word, beat him there if you are living overseas?

How long have you been married? Did you go the IR1 or the CR1 route? Can you validate that it is a good faith separation? As in you did not use him for immigration reasons (I read one woman had explicit e-mails that her husband had been sending another woman which was the reason for their divorce)

I am sorry that you are going through this. I agree with the others on this page, you need to file a report against him for trying to steal your personal information and identification. Definately come to the United States ASAP. If he does file for divorce, they will not deport you. You just have to show that you entered into the marriage with good faith and not for the sole purpose of gaining the green card.

Just curious, why is he being so hateful? Has he always been that way? I hope things go well for you.

If filing a simple complaint was all that was needed then many people would be in trouble from frivoulous acts. As with anyone else, you are afforded due process. Until such time as a finding has been made detrimental to your status, all is OK.

YMMV

Agree with fwaguy, since you currently have a 10 year GC, you are in status until such time that you are adjudicated otherwise.

That said, you should document the things that are going on. If he's threatening you and trying to take your money and ID, that would be basis for a police incident report.

I don't think you need to come to the US any time soon...but you should file a police report ASAP, and have it with you when you do return.

Also, if the 10 year GC has restrictions removed, you should have even less to worry about, and if you can prove abuse, then your husband will be the one who should be worried. I hope you can work things out if that's what's best for the two of you, and if it's not, I hope you can go your separate ways without causing each other more harm, pain, and grief. Good luck.

A lot of people are in trouble from frivoulous acts... Stealing someones personal belongings is theft plain and simple.
