I have a question about w photos of beneficiary that have to be sent along with DS230. NVC website provides following guidelines:

The applicant and each family member who will accompany the applicant to the United States will need to submit two front-view color photographs with a white background.

Guidelines

The photographs must be square measuring 2 inches x 2 inches (5 cm x 5 cm).

Head should be positioned directly facing the camera

Photographs should capture from slightly above top of hair to middle of chest

Eyes should be open and looking at the camera

Eyeglasses should be worn if normally used by the subject

Glare on eyeglasses can usually be avoided with a slight upward or downward tilt of the head

Background should be white or off-white

Include headpieces if worn daily for religious purposes; they should not obscure or cause shadows on the eyes or any other part of the face

My questions is are there any additional guidelines anywhere on NVC website that elaborates in detail what dimensions they want these two photos? I remember USCIS laid out several dimensions regarding height of the forehead and height of where exactly eyes should be located, etc... Does NVC give any detailed guidelines for what dimensions photo should have besides 2inchX2inch?? I am trying to avoid this stupid RFEs.....

thanks,

CS

That said, with the original petition I submitted the smaller Indian/Nepali size photo and was approved as were other people from what I read - for NVC though I believe it is more important that the photo be 2X2 because this photo actually goes on the visa.
