Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Because her newborn baby with Down's (and pregnant teen daughter) are looking for her because she's been gone for so many days...

Oh! And Dmitriy Medvedev Vladimir is looking for her too and must tell her ... "Spying on my mainland from bedroom window?! Aiaiaiai, woman! You pay!" That, and he thought she said she wouldn't mind engaging in a Putin vs. Palin face-off...

Yeah, this is getting very dirty

As of:

June 26, 2012 - The Hubbs received his 10-year Permanent Residency Card (aka THE Greencard) in the mail today!

At long last, this highly stressful leg of our journey has come to a close - for now - and we couldn't be more grateful and appreciative for all the tremendous help and support here on VJ! Without VisaJourney I doubt we would be where my husband and I are today! Thanks to all!

Because it's a veritable cesspool occupied by pompous LIBERALS...........

I don't get the joke.

Me neither <shrug>.....

I don't get the joke.

Well with Kaydee - he starts with "Liberal" and slaps a couple of derogatory words in front and behind.

He doesn't realise that it makes him look sillier than the people he's aiming his criticisms at.

Still don't get it.....What's that have to do with my fridge?

Because your thinking is like a fridge - cold and a large pain in the ###.

because she couldn't find any of our countries on a map, even though she says she's been in mine (for a refueling layover)

Now now....she had a Guinness once and has seen the Quiet Man. She knows all about Irish culture too, so why would she need to actually go outside the door at Shannon?

I can see Canada from my office window! Every day! Vote for me!!!

Sometimes if I squint very hard I can kind of see Michigan from the beach by my house.

How in heaven's name did the party of the trade unions and intrest in sharing the wealth, currently led by a child raised on food stamps by a single mother get the title pompous and elite? It defies explanation.

UNIONS AND WELFARE ARE COMMUNIST! AMERICA AIN'T A SOCIALIST COUNTRY...WE BELIEVE IN REGANOMICS WHERE THE WEALTH TRICKLES DOWN. THIS IS A FREE COUNTRY, GO BACK TO RED LOVIN' ENGLAND!

Pompous and elite aren't necessarily related to wealth, or lack thereof but is rather a state of mind. Obama is an elitist......

now let me get back to my guns'n religion...........

To correct you somewhat - the man is not an elitist. If he were - he'd be pushing the idea of Government by an elite few (i.e. an oligarchy). It might be fair to describe Obama as a member of an "elite" political class (which lets face it - all high ranking public servants belong to. Basically very affluent, highly educated people). McCain even fits into that category, as does GWB.

If you're simply saying that Obama is a bit "snobby", well that's something else. It's not elitism.

Um, he is advocating that idea......that's what liberalism is all about in this country.

Who do you think he was talking to in S.F. when he proclaimed that he knew what was "wrong" with those that don't agree with his political and social views?

In other words he was looking for support and sympathy from like minded individuals that have the same lofty, and distorted view (pompous) of themselves as superior thinking citizens and therefore those silly blue collar folks must be afflicted with some malady in order to hold such beliefs contray to his, and his audience?

<sarcasm> As we all know, the liberals have been blessed to lead those of us less fortunate and "bitter" folks..........

Really, hasn't the republicans played their base like a fiddle? There hasn't been more than perhaps half hearted attempts at challenging Roe vs. Wade and banning gay marriage. They've used the guns n' religion mantra to dupe people into voting for them and giving them power. The blue collar folks/religious folks aren't stupid by any long shot, but they've allowed themselves to be duped by the republicans...and allow themselves to continue to be duped.

Not really Kaydee. Poorly worded statements made to a popular demographic aside - I don't see Obama actively pushing for government by Oligarchy or Plutocracy (though isn't this what we have seen previously in the likes of Kennedy's and the Bush families - with their seemingly hereditary political careers). In fact we already have Plutocracy to a degree - to the extent that private business dictates public policy.

Obama is an elite - sure. He's rich and well educated. I challenge you to find anyone in high-level politics who isn't.

And yet liberalism is credited in its ideals with being in essence, a method for advocating more equality and access to rights that perhaps those elitists that don't matter (aka those that benefit from a bipolar, unequal society), would care not to discuss with reason.

Or their lackies... as we see in the more opportunistic posts that frankly don't make any sense at all.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

Ah yes, but as with hijacked religions, those that purport to be "liberal" have distorted it's meaning and have used it to impose themselves on the rest of us.

I really have to laugh at all the "liberal" diatribes that folks like Kaydee here seem so fond of. Propagating one-size-fits-all stereotypes makes them look incredibly ignorant and they'd perhaps realise that if they were actually interested in a two-way conversation. Of course they've covered that base with the delusion that if anyone disagrees with their reasoning that this is somehow proof of elitism and how "liberals" look down on people).

One size fits most of the Democratic party......Let's discount the fringe crazy's in Hollywood, the San Fran loons, and all the other folks that are immediately identified with "liberalism" in a negative way in this country and just focus on those that occupy office for the moment.

Nancy P.

H. Reid

T. Kennedy (murderer)

B. Frank

One that doesn't recognize that there's a negative connotation applied to anyone that associates themselves, or openly declares themselves to be liberal is clearly ignorant of the image they project to the public.......and the voters.

Let's look at what what the "liberals" have done this election. They've taken a slam dunk election year win for the Dems and tortured us with the notion that it's time for a black president. In character the "liberals" are going to demonstrate to themselves, and to the world that they harbor no ill will and, look, see, we did it! Look, we “feel good”, and that’s what Obama is; a “feel good” candidate that reinforces their false notion that they’re progressive thinkers.

Of course one needs to accept a one term Senator, whos popularity is rooted in nothing more than superficiality, as the "one".

Well only someone that's peculiarly ignorant, or has his head up his proverbial ar$$ would recognize that the fielding of this dolt has resulted in the weakest candidate in the past 16 years!

You clearly are the silly one!

Personally, I wouldn't want to associate myself with the term "liberal".
