How can women produce equal work? They have periods which obviously means they aren't able to produce the same quality and consistancy of work through out a full monthly cycle.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Good for him. Employee wages are a matter for the employee and the employer - not the government.

PEOPLE: READ THE APPLICATION FORM INSTRUCTIONS!!!! They have a lot of good information in them! Most of the questions I see on VJ are clearly addressed by the form instructions. Give them a read!! If you are unable to understand the form instructions, I highly recommend hiring someone who does to help you with the process. Our process, from K-1 to Citizenship and U.S. Passport is completed. Good luck with your process.

Is this the same study that said ladies made less than men. Afterwards some came along and looked at the data and saw that they looked at just the paychecks and noted the difference, then broke it down and saw that it was usually the men that did the overtime and extras needed to have the larger paycheck.

When the same people dug further and asked the ladies why they refused the overtime they answered that they preferred to not work more so that left the men having to do it.

So I am wondering. Should ladies make what others do that work more if they refuse to share the burden?

the government is not saying what people should be paid, only that people should be paid equally for the same work. Of course if two people are not doing equal work (one person doing more hours than the other) it's obvious that this would not be covered.

But it's so simple, even the conservatives can figure it out. If you're salaried, you get the same pay as someone doing the same job as you (and otherwise equivilent to you, same level of experience etc). If you're paid wages then you get the same hourly wage. Does this really have to be explained. I feel like it's obvious.
