Question about DS-156 and proof of relationship

Hey everyone!

I'm waiting for my interview on Oct 14th and trying to finish putting together all the documents and proof that I'll ahve to bring with me, and I have two (probably silly) questions (hey I just don't wanna make mistakes :innocent: ):

- the list of documents needed says two forms DS-156, but those are filled online, so my question is, do I fill it twice online and print two separate ones, or do I fill only one and take a copy of it?

- about proof of relationship: I think I have enough proof: phone bills, a few emails, bits and pieces of MSN logs, a handful of USPS and Brazilian mail receipts, his boarding passes, copy of his passports with stamps, some credit card receipts, Western Union receipts, car rental receipts, tickets of bus to/from the airport, a Bday and a Xmas card he sent me, receipt of the wedding dress (if I make up my mind about which one I want) and 15 pictures *catches breath*. So that should be enough, right? My main question is, do I have to bring originals of all that stuff too?

We had our interview for the K-3 visa in Rio on 8/28. I went with my husband, we waited nearly 5 hours, the interview lasted 7 minutes, we had 6 binders full of evidence and they didn't ask to see a thing! Not even one picture - but I shouldn't complain because we were approved.

As far as the DS-156 you fill it out once onlie and print 2 copies, or print one and then make a photocopy.

As far as originals vs copies - I don't know what to tell you because they didn't look at our stuff. For what it's worth though, we took copies of some stuff and originals of others - it just depends on what we had available.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

Thanks a lot for the answer!! The DS-156 was my main concern actually. I wasnt sure whether to fill it out once or twice. The second part is not a big problem, I can always bring originals with me in case they ask. Only thing is that the more paper you add, the harder it is to keep it organized.

HI

I have a question for you guys.. We received our NOA2 in August and my fiance's appt is on October 21.

They sent the package (3?) to him , we filed the required forms online and filled out the rest.

Does he mail anything in advance of the interview? .. or just show up with all the required documents.

Because Brazil mails Packages 3/4 together , along with a date. there is nothing that needs to be sent to the embassy

in advance? It seems like (again) alot of waiting with nothing to be done. Thanks in advance.

Jill
