We got our application package returned again today. The first time it was returned because we wrote a check for $625 for the I751 and 2 ea biometrics. There was also a cryptic mention there that Angelica (stepdaughter) could file on her own if she didn't fall under the guidelines.

I wrote them a letter to send with the second filing explaining that Angelica and Lucero arrived together and the dates were exactly the same on the green cards. Of course, the copies of the green cards were included in both packages. We wrote three checks for the fees so they wouldn't have to do the arithmetic again.

Today we got the package back with a letter explaining that Angelica could not file with Lucero because she did not arrive within the 90 day time window.

This time we are sending a copy of the package to our Senator. This is crazy!!!

Wow! I am sorry you had to go through all of that! Maybe this time you shouldn't send any explanation or might confuse them even more Hopefully the senator will help if something God forbid, goes wrong again.

I wonder if USCIS has something different recorded on their files? You might want to make an infopass and discuss this with an agent in person showing them the submitted documentation, the correspondence back and the green cards. That way they can verify what is actually on file which may be different. But yes, getting your Senator's office involved is good too. Good luck.

my son arrived with me on the same date and everything was filed on same days, our cards have actual slightly diff dates as he seems to get approval for everything quicker, that's just plain stupid. I know it might sound strange, but have you tried sending both seperate?

Might be worth a try, all seperate checks and seperate envelopes, and just maybe references each other's casenumber in the file?

Our closest USCIS office is 6 hours one way. I am hoping to get this fixed without going through all that. We already know that we will have to travel 6 hours one way for the bio. Of course both offices are in opposite directions.

We thought it would be a good idea to copy the 2 green cards together so that it was obvious that the dates were exactly the same. On the back the numbers are even in sequence.

I really think that splitting this all into two seaprate packages would confuse these idiots even more.

I'm sure that when they key in the A#s that something is wrong in the computer and they just aren't smart enough to correct it.

You need to do an INFOPASS. It seems that even the GC has the same dates, looks like in their records they have something different for Angelica.

Did they all did AOS or was through CP?

One of the very few decent things that USCIS does is try to arrange for immigrants with minor children to be interviewed together. When that happens things like ,Welcome to America letters and card printing all happen at the same time. That is what happened with Lucero and Angelica.

Here in Florida we are really lucky. Our Senators provide excellent constituent services. My local Congressman (Jeff Miller) is no help at all but the offices of both Senators really have it together. While they can't change rules or bypass the process they are very good at fixing computer glitches and such.

The 90 days that they are counting are days to the filing of the petition to remove conditions. We have done that and have it very well documented. The fact that they are rejecting the petitions repeatedly does not make the girls presence in the US illegal. Unless I have misread CFR 8 if any removal proceeding were begun we would have the right to stand in front of an immigration judge and make our case.

If the Senator can't fix this we will probably just bite the bullet, pay the extra $465 bucks and file a separate aplication. As wrong as this is, it is a better option than all 3 of us missing work and school and driving twelve hours to a Jacksonville Florida interview that is not even guaranteed. If we lived closer we would have gone the first time they made the mistake. We already know that we will have to do the same thing for biometrics in New Orleans LA.

I remember you too Onwa VJ people never really go away they just move to different forums as the process continues. The only graduation is citizenship.

My daughter will probably coninue on to citizenship but I think we will just ride out the ten year card and retire in Colombia.

There are a lot of problems being an immigrant in America, especially Spanish. That land of opportunity ####### pretty much went out the window when we got the last of the Indians killed off and outsourced the factory jobs that we needed immigrants for.

I do not see how they can keep sending it back to you if the cards expire the same time.

My card expired May 25 and my son's was to expire on July 17th. I waited till there was 90 days left on my sons card so I could file both together.

I received our NOA, had our prints down, and have received our 1 year extension letter.

I remember all the ####### you went thru also because our timelines were so close when we begun this journey.

I hope you get it all worked out. I would call to make sure they have the correct expiration dates on both cards in their system.

When I received my GC they had my dates all wrong so I had to send my card back in.
