movies with subtitles (i agree misskiya, audrey tatou rocks! i watched "l'auberge espagnole" because she was in it! and i'll have to see DaVinci for the same reason - jean reno's in it too! )

general tso's chicken

(sad how most of mine relate to food... sigh...)

You're my new best friend. L'auberge espagnole is the funniest movie ever (ok not really but up there).

and I got alex sooo hooked on general tso's chicken and pork fried rice.

I was making a delivery today listening to Indochine in my truck and thinking of how much I couldn't live without them now. It made me wonder. What are the things your fiance(e) has passed off from his/her culture (or pop culture) that you couldn't do without. Mine ARE...

Indochine

Tryo

P*tain

Palmolive "tahiti" body wash

REAL crepes

REAL wine

Audrey Tautou

Jean Reno

héhé so for me and the american culture ... Well first I can't go on without you and Azzy

and after .....

on TV :

FAMILY GUY

INVADER ZIM

HOUSE md

Music :

ORGY

TOOL

VNV NATION

food :

snow cone

chocolate mil shake from sonic lol

peanut butter of course even if at first I could'nt eat it

Taco bell mdr cause it's so good and I will be a fatty lol

American way to breackfeast was realy amazing too at first I remember when I saw you cook egg and bacon the first time I was like " omg are you crazy ? are you going to eat that in the morning ?? "

but in fact it's realy good :D

that's all I can think for now but there is a lot more

love you sweetie (L)

And for you mon ange...you're such a monkey. I laughed so hard at this list I almost cried. Just remembering you with breakfast. OMFG HAHAHAHAHAHA I remember.

...and the pancakes....mmhmm...and raspberry chocolate candies from albertsons... "You almost made me drop the pancake you @$$hole!"

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Things I love that have come into my life since knowing Sujeet, and would not want to live without:

-Indian food, yum :star:

-the Indian way of making tea

-Indian textiles

-Indian music and dancing around to it

-having a spouse from such a different culture, who played games I've never heard of as a kid, who loves cricket(another thing I knew nothing about), and asks questions like "what does 'roger that' and '10-4' mean ????" and wondering about other slang. I can't imagine living without all that. The cultural differences are something to adjust to, but they are also fun.

(India is definitely not known for chocolate :dead: , but that's ok since their food is amazing... :P )

omG what I'd do for a proper Madras & an onion bhaji.

I've never heard of Madras as food...:lol: Madras is a city in India...I've never had onion bhaji either but I bet I'd like it! (we mostly eat Northern Indian food, onion bhaji is southern Indian)

I just asked Sujeet and he said, he never heard of food being referred to as "a Madras"...Maybe it's British slang? He said Madras is known for red onions though so maybe that's why it's called that way?Unless it's called a Madras Onion bhaji ? Well now I am curious and want to eat some. :D

From what I can see, the Indian community in England have put their own spin on Indian food. A Madras is a tamed down Vindaloo, not quite as spicy (hope Vindaloo is a common reference  )
