Things I love that have come into my life since knowing Sujeet, and would not want to live without:

-Indian food, yum :star:

-the Indian way of making tea

-Indian textiles

-Indian music and dancing around to it

-having a spouse from such a different culture, who played games I've never heard of as a kid, who loves cricket(another thing I knew nothing about), and asks questions like "what does 'roger that' and '10-4' mean ????" and wondering about other slang. I can't imagine living without all that. The cultural differences are something to adjust to, but they are also fun.

(India is definitely not known for chocolate :dead: , but that's ok since their food is amazing... :P )

Well, mine is kind of a cross-mix. My fiance is from Algeria, but we met in France where he had been living for several years. So, I have lots of French things:

Crepes (ditto Misskiya)

Maxim's hot chocolate mix

French Pop (Kyo, Amele Bent, Anggun, etc)

Stella Artois

Bread with every meal

Red, red wine (I used to only drink white but now I prefer red)

Reserve Naturelle and Yves Rocher

And Algerian things:

My fiance!!!

Sweet hot mint tea

Arabic music

The way my fiance clicks his tongue to say "no" and expects to be understood

Couscous

Algerian bread

And my soon-to-be 7 brothers-in-law, 1 sister-in-law, and 15 nieces and nephews!

I've never heard of Madras as food...:lol: Madras is a city in India...I've never had onion bhaji either but I bet I'd like it! (we mostly eat Northern Indian food, onion bhaji is southern Indian)

I just asked Sujeet and he said, he never heard of food being referred to as "a Madras"...Maybe it's British slang? He said Madras is known for red onions though so maybe that's why it's called that way?Unless it's called a Madras Onion bhaji ? Well now I am curious and want to eat some. :D
