WAC and 10 digit number

Ok i need your help. my I-130 was received on 9/8/08 check was cashed on 9/11/08 but i havent received my NOA1 LETTER yet, but I read i could find my receipt# on the back of my cleared check. it would be the WAC/EAC/or INN with 10 numbers following. well when i went online to imput those 13 characters, it says invalid number. could it be possible that they cashed my check and havent really assigned me a receipt#. i know i should just wait for the letter, but im impatient and excited that they cashed my check. HELP. thanks a lot, Van

USCIS:Filing-CR-1 8/2/08 got married in accra ghana

9/5/08 mailed I130 chicago lockbox 9/8/08 I130 received at chicago lockbox

9/11/08 check cashed 9/15/08 NOA1 received in mail ( CSC) 9/16/08 USCIS update info on website

01/24/09 RFE notice by email (sad & worried)

01/27/09 received RFE in my P.O.BOX, requesting i take new passport size photo of MYSELF, this time write information on back of photo in pencil, i sed black felt pen per I-130 instructions.

01/27/09 took new passport size photo of myself, mailed off corrected RFE USPS EXPRESS MAIL

01/29/09 received email from USCIS request for evidence received and case processing resumed

02/05/09 TOUCHED!!! prayn for no RFE"S

02/06/09 I-130 APPROVED!!!! received email from USCIS 02/09/09 received NOA2 hard copy in the mail

NVC

02/09/09 NVC case# given today (very nice operator)

2/13/09 NVC sent form DS-3032 to me & beneficiary i emailed ds3032 to nvc

2/19/09 received AOS Bill & copy of ds-3032 in the mail

2/20/09 tried to pay AOS online, made mistake typing my first name, i think payment was rejected.

2/23/09 hubby mailed faxed copy of ds3032 to nvc st.louis.(still hasnt received his copy from NVC)

02/23/09 AOS bill shows PAID!!!!, YAY!! will mail I-864 now.

3/4/09 mailed AOS (I-864) USPS express mail (will mail ds230 in april after my trip to ghana)

04/03/09 paid IV Bill online

04/09/09 USPS expressed mail:: DS230-IVBILL to NVC:: 4/10/09 NVC received DS230

4/14/09 DS230 being reviewed

4/22/09 CASE COMPLETE AT NVC ( per operator & AVR)

12/3/09 email from NVC

01/11/2010 Interview Ghana Embassy. Visa Approved. 2/5/10 received visa

More than likely it's not updated to the USCIS web site yet. :thumbs:

they will only cash the check with a receipt number assigned at the same time. look at the numbers very carefully at the back of the check..sometimes the 1, 3 and 7 looks similar...happened to me...try a combination of numbers...it shud be in the system. good luck!

When I did mine, they were off by 1 digit on the check. Like mine was WAC********50 for my receipt number, but on the back of the check it said WAC********49...

12-11-2007- Married my Love

02-08-2008- CSC receives I-130

02-11-2008- Received Hardcopy NOA1

08-14-2008- Approved!!! 216 days...

08-21-2008- NOA2 Hardcopy received

08-27-2008- NVC Receives file, NVC Case Number issued

09-05-2008- AOS Fee Bill and DS-3032 Generated

09-06-2008- E-mailed DS-3032 to NVC

09-11-2008- Received Hardcopy of DS-3032 and AOS Fee Bill

09-15-2008- Mailed Hardcopy of DS-3032

09-16-2008- Paid $70 AOS fee online

09-17-2008- Received E-mail confirming the DS-3032 Agent

09-17-2008- Printed Coversheet for AOS paperwork

09-17-2008- IV Bill Invoiced

12-16-2008- Sent I-864 EZ to NVC

Thanks for all your responses, went to my POBOX during my lunch break NOA1 letter was there. and guess what the last 2 numbers on my check were different than last 2 numbers on the NOA1 letter. i tried inputting those numbers on the website and they have no record of it. ???? oh well. thanks everyone. van

wow the same happened to me too. they had a completely different number for me on the back of the check and a different number on my NOA1. i got worried and called USCIS to check and they said that the number at the back of my check is someone else's but said not to worry about it as i wrote a check and they had cashed it and that my account was paid off.
