I have questions regarding advance parole. Hope you can give me information about these.

1.) How long it takes to process from the date of filing until the single advance parole be issued/granted?

2.) How long one can stay out from the US with the single advance parole?

3.) What is the ideal period of filing the application for advance parole? Is it before or after filing the adjustment of status?

4.) Am I right that I will use the form I-131 Application for Travel Document if I will apply for advance parole?

I'll answer 3 since that's the only one I still remember - we filed it concurrent to the AOS.

I have questions regarding advance parole. Hope you can give me information about these.

1.) How long it takes to process from the date of filing until the single advance parole be issued/granted?Anywhere from 30-90 days

2.) How long one can stay out from the US with the single advance parole?I believe (for most people) AP is valid for one year - but that's not the issue - the issue for most is maintaining residency here. How long were you thinking?

3.) What is the ideal period of filing the application for advance parole? Is it before or after filing the adjustment of status? The fee for AP is included in AOS/EAD so that is when most find it ideal, since you kind of pay for it anyway. (Unless you never intend to use it - we didn't.)

4.) Am I right that I will use the form I-131 Application for Travel Document if I will apply for advance parole?
