If he's an American Citizen (be it Filipino-American, German-American, Etc) the times are the same - each case is different so some take longer than others.

As far as denial - the answer is yes, any case can be denied - most of those who meet the requirements and tell the truth do just fine.

Are you planning to pick your husband based on how long the process will take, or what the chance of an approval will be?

its how long it will take. thank you Gigii :)

:o

i am really quite offended by the original post, the reason it takes so long for geniune couples is abuse of the system, you are going to pick out a husband just to be able to move to the country. omg!!!

I think maybe the OP meant how long it will take not what should she choose as far as nationality for a husband - probably wording - altho there are people that have abused the system to put longer waits on families and such - but Cheers Donna, welcome to VJ as this place will only help the ones that are doing this legally and tell the ones that are trying to scam the system to blow!

Sandy,

You've been given the answers to your questions, which are that whether the petitioner migrated or not will not impact the timeline and that yes K3 petitions and visa applications can be denied.

Perhaps it's just the wording but it sounds like you're using the citizenship status as a selection factor for a fiance. If you already have a fiance or spouse, please clarify.

It might be easier but not quicker. Ten months sounds like a good estimate.
