I'm not a tax expert, but I got a 1099 from my bank at the end of the year that reported the interest earned for the year, which is taxable income...a W2 you would recieve from your employer stating your total wages earned for the year and a listing of all taxes withheld...good luck

I also got RFE and they asked me for the same documents -even though I KNOW I sent them everything with my AOS. <_< Anyway, I sent them again: FEDERAL INCOME TAX RETURN and W-2s. That`s all my husband has and that`s all I could sent. Hopefully it will be enough for them. :star: I really don`t mind receiving mail, but I hope I won`t get another RFE! :goofy:

USCIS asks for all W-2's and 1099's. Everybody who works should get a W-2 from their company, but not everybody gets 1099's. You receive a form 1099 if you have any kind of interest/dividend income. For example, if you have a savings account, your bank will send you a 1099 at the end of the year showing how much interest you earned.

If you don't have a 1099, then make sure you don't have any interest/dividend income listed on your 1040.

You'll also get 1099's if you do freelance work. My wife and I get tons of those as musicians...

I believe you can order copies of all W2s and 1099's directly from the IRS, as well as tax transcripts if you don't have your 1040.
