Yes...he needs to pay the $225 fee but he does not need to pay a biometrics fee as he is under 14 years old. Also, he does need to have photos.

Hmmm, I posted earlier that we got our biometrics date for my husbands AOS and EAD, plus my stepson's biometrics for AOS, but you're right... we didn't pay a biometrics fee for him because he is only 10. Since he was given a biometrics appointment date by USCIS, I assume he needs biometrics done. But do they just do them for free on K2's ??

We did send the $225, plus the G-325A and 2 passport-style photos with his K2 AOS application. I didn't see anywhere that it said we DON'T have to do the G-325A for him, so we did it. Did I miss something?

Maya

Many thanks to the Visajourney community for all the help!

Maya,

Yes, your 10 year old gets to have his biometrics (height, weight, color of hair, color of eyes, etc), 2 digital prints, digital picture and digital signature done for free. My 13-year old son went and had his biometrics done too. The picture, signature and fingerprint were all used on his green card.
