I find the situation in the USA at present sort of ironic and yet stupid. All the professional politicians are concerned about the illegal immigrants coming into this country and those already here. None of them want to offend them or others of their race because of the voting potential. They want to make them citzens at some point becauswe we need the cheap labor to pick our grapes, lettuce and to mow our lawns.

They seem to forget the tremendous cost in welfare, food stamps, free medical, education and other rerlated costs caused solely by them but yet this administration and Homeland SAecurity needs that cheap labor.

THis is just the opposite of what made this country great. My grandfather came over from Italy, got a job, raised a family, started a business, paid his taxes and his children then had children that do the same. All this when the signs in the window said "Italian and Irish need not apply". Yet here we are trying to get more to come here and enjoy our freedoms and our free services and support.

What is ironic is that a single woman from Russia, the Ukraine and many other countries, even if she has a good job, money in the bank, property in Russia and a university education can not get a visa to even vacationin this country. Maybe if they picked grapes and lettuce Bush would consider letting her in.

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Amen brother!

I live here in Texas watching thousands and millions of illegal aliens breaking the law and want to puke at some politicians that bend over backwards to kiss their *sses and the *sses of their cheerleading club.

And I have had my relatives in Belarus repeatedly denied temporary tourist visas for trying to do it the right and legal way. Ditto for my wife's relatives in Russia. The USA makes it nearly impossible and downright outrageously difficult for most of our relatives to visit us in the USA in our home.

Not one illegal alien whether they overstayed a visa or snuck in without inspection should be given permanent residency or amnesty. It is just plain wrong to reward scofflaws while people that try to do the right thing are given the middle finger.

Bush is out of his delusional mind with his amnesty at any cost agenda. Hurry up 2008!

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."

US Congresswoman Barbara Jordan (D-TX)

Testimony to the House Immigration Subcommittee, February 24, 1995
