Stevi, I think the lesson is soooooo important. Tomorrow isn't promised to us and I hope that I won't regret anything down the line. Even when my daughter has made me see red, I tell her I love her with all my heart. Cause who knows what will happen when she walks out the door, or I walk out the door. I lost my husband while I was 7 months pregnant. Now, mind you he's not physically dead. He died three times that month but he dies spiritually and emotionally and became a completely different person. I mourned his "death" for 3 years before I divorced him. It was the hardest thing I'd ever done, but it was necessary to do it and to do it in my time so that I wouldn't be sorry for anything. I think God tries to teach us and when we think the lesson is harsh, we have to remember that our Father is trying to take us to a better place and trust the journey for the One who has put us on it.

I tend to internalize my issues and they manifest within me in varying degrees.

Uno, I saw myself in your words above. If I could have my father back, I would do ANYTHING. He's been gone just a few months now, but the entire world seems so much different now. If there was formal definition of "father" he would be it. He loved his children like a "papa bear" and protected us all. I sound like a young child, but there is no other words to describe it. Heck, I have a picture of him that I still talk to when times are tough, and it's as if he is still giving me advice. I know it's all in my head.

But I also overeat and cannot sleep when things are on my mind like that. Life can be a beach sometimes. But I smile and hang in there. I strive daily to fulfill a goal regardless (even if I'm eating a bag of Cheetos doing it
