Thank you everyone. It does turn out to be better than I thought. He got the box checked on the blue slip that says "suspended, pending receipt of documents". Then the ONLY box checked (ticked) is "UK and Nigerian Police report with FINGERPRINTS TAKEN BY MET OR SCOTLAND YARD" Although this is how he had done it the first time, he is just going to do it yet again, if that is what they require.

Everything else was accepted, and the I-134 was just fine (that was what we had been prepared to get blue-slipped on). This seems to be the best of the other 2 boxes that could have been checked. Of the 3, the first one is "Suspended, pending documents", the second one is "Administrative Processing" and the third one is "Denied".

He scanned the blue slip to me via email. Uno, the courier route is the way the UK does it all and delivers the visa that way too.

Of course, they could always think of something else when he sends the docs back, but who knows.....

We are both exhausted after this disappointing day, but we are not defeated. I am going to sign-off of the computer for the rest of today and go take a hot bubble bath. Thanks for all of the love.

one more thing....they checked the box for him to return his passport with the police certificates when the courier comes to pick them from him. That's the only encouraging part of it for us. The UK sends the visa to the person via courier when it is approved. peace

Morning!

Great to see you Asante! As a matter of fact ... great to see you too LL, it's been a while.

Boaz

I know, it's nice to see you, too!! I've been really bogged down and my job also cracked down on internet usage at work. That means no more VJ for me while working.

Visa delayed: HORRIBLE TREATMENT AT THE LONDON EMBASSY?

Posting this in Subbies/K1/UK forums under different headings:

Writing this very fast, so please forgive any typos....

He will have to get a new police report and a new birth certificate. (He just got the current ones 7 weeks ago, mind you.)

He arrived for his 8am appt at 7am. Everything was going smoothly with the submission of documents, then he was asked to have a seat, which is the usual protocol. This was 830am by then.

He sat and watched others proceed to their interview, get visa's and leave throughout the morning AND AFTERNOON....

He was called for his 8am interview at 230pm!

He was #2 to out of 16, and the second to check-in.

There were two African (Nigerian) men out of the 16. He watched and waited as ALL of the other people were interviewed. He was called LAST.

When he was called, a very "unhappy looking" American woman conducted the interview, in which she asked him intense, personal, deep questions, such as "What is the name of your fiance's sister's children's school?" :o She also asked the names of his fiance's 4 closest friends.....To each answer, she would stop and look at him for a very long time, then proceed to the next question. He had the answers to all questions about us and our lives, but he did not know the name of my sister's children's schools :(

He was well prepared, and all of his documents were excellent. Then, the officer told him that he would need to re-do both the Nigerian Police certificate and the Nigerian birth certificate. Why? we have no idea. Both were authentic and obtained the proper ways.

He is to get them and then arrange for the courier to pick them and have them delivered back to the London Embassy.

The words that my fiance used to describe the treatment he felt from the interview were "Disrespect - Degrading - Demoralizing"

I've never heard his voice sound so exhausted. He was questioned down to his very "core" as he put it. And spoken to as if he were less than human.

We will be okay - There will always be people like this in the world. We will just continue to do the right thing, and pray that our reward is just a couple of weeks delayed.

Thanks for all of the positive words that have been sent our way. I will update later.

Stevi

I'm so sorry to hear that they are delaying your case. I know today has been very disappointing, but it's good to see you staying very positive about the situation. Your newest posts suggest that it is just a small delay and it looks like he will be getting some good news once he submits those documents. We're pulling for the both of you. (L)(F)

good morning all, TGIF (like I'm got a job or sumthing  )

UNO (F)

this was sent to me (I swear :P ), I thought it was funny, hope you do too :D

A CAMEL STORY!!

A Nun and a Priest were crossing the Sahara desert on a camel. On the third day out, the camel suddenly dropped dead without warning.

After dusting themselves off, the Nun and the Priest surveyed their situation. After a long period of silence, the Priest spoke. 'Well, Sister, this looks pretty grim.'

'I know, Father. In fact, I don't think it likely that we can survive more than a day or two.'

'I agree,' says the Father. 'Sister, since we are unlikely to make it out of here alive, would you do something for me?'

'Anything, Father.'

'I have never seen a woman's breasts and I was wondering if I might see yours.'

'Well, under the circumstances I don't see that it would do any harm.'

The Nun opened her habit and the Priest enjoyed the sight of her shapely breasts, commenting frequently on their beauty.

'Sister, would you mind if I touched them?' She consented and he fondled them for several minutes.

'Father, could I ask something of you?'

'Yes, Sister?'

'I have never seen a man's #######. Could I see yours?'

'I suppose that would be OK,' the Priest replied lifting his robe.

'Oh Father, may I touch it?'

The priest consented and after a few minutes of fondling he was sporting a huge erection.

'Sister, you know that if I insert my ####### in the right place, it can give life.'

'Is that true Father?'

'Yes, it is, Sister.'

'Oh Father, that's wonderful ... stick it in the camel's a$$ and let's get the hell out of here!' :o

I am all that the Potter created me to be.

I celebrate, liberate and dedicate my life to His Glory.

I Am Uno!
