Make sure there is adequate health care available for your children. The illness and disease can become overwhelming and you want a good accessible

clinic/ hospital. I am not sure about health insurance but it is customary that doctor and hospital fees for services are paid ahead of time.

$ 500 - $ 600 a month for one person if you can live a simple life. More if you will send your children to a privat school.

Rent is cheap in general areas but more expensive in safer neighborhoods.

Keep in mind that depending where you work you may not see a paycheck every month and get paid irregular.

A big chunk will go towards transport and fuel to get you from point A to point B.

They are offering $2738 per month plus allowances (but I don't know what those allowances are yet). I'm going to send in my application and just see what comes of it. The worst that can happen is that they tell me no.

It's working at the US Embassy. Mailed off the application via Express mail today. I am praying it will get there by the cutoff which is 10/14. I made a copy of everything and will scan it all on Monday when I go to work and then email everything to them giving them the tracking number of the originals also.

Talked with my fiancé last night and he was quite happy that I am apply for a job in Africa. He says it doesn't matter where I want to live, he'll go to where ever I am :). I am still taking all the tests for the corrections officer next week and still applying for better jobs here, but I figure I can't have too many resumes out, eventually someone will give me a job :)

Has anyone applied for the DV lottery while they are stuck in visa h-ll ? The entry period is open and I was wondering as it is free to enter if it might be faster than the litigation mess I am going through.
