Morning !

So many peeps to shop for.........so little money and time :o

I recently saw something on TV regarding 'group' gifts. For example: providing a family with a movie basket. The basket will include things like popcorn, cookies, drinks, and of course a movie. That way it's something for everyone, and you save some money.

ALL things work TOGETHER for GOOD!

OK now I am serious, come and take this weather back, I don't like it anymore, the midwest and east coast can HAVE IT ALL. I came home from work to discover my pipes frozen, so I'm under my house with a hair dryer and flashlight trying to thaw out all the part of the pipes that the cats removed the insulation from, it's not working and I'm full of fiberglass. I decide to go to my office and get the space heater I use to warm my feet up at work. On my way home the oil light AND the check engine light come on. I know enough to know you stop IMMEDIATELY when that occurs, of course it was on a curve with hardly any shoulder. A guy stops and says I should be able to make it to the service station (over 2 miles!) I just laugh and tell him, no you don't move a vehicle when the oil light comes on. Checked the oil - NONE, also it's steamin - no antifreeze in the resevoir. Thankfully a sheriff's deputy pulls up (a friend of mine) and takes me to the grocery store where I buy 3 quarts of oil and a gallon of water (no antifreeze), the oil fills it so I wasn't completely out but I pour the entire gallon of water in and there is STILL nothing in the resevoir. The oil light goes off but the check engine light is still on. I drive the 2 miles to the service station - no antifreeze, go to the next grocery store and paid $20 for a gallon of Prestone, poured it in and guess what??? Just barely registers in the resevoir and the check engine light is STILL on. The heater has been on for nearly an hour and STILL no water - darn cats!!!!! So you see, I have had enough of this weather, PLEASE take it back.

Oh me oh my...poor you!!! I am so sorry about the weather...and the car....and the oil....and the water....and the Prestone.....and the pipes....and the fiberglass.....

BUT.... I can not take back the weather because I live east of you  I can only tell you to STOP sending it to me

I do hear you... I talked to my Dad today (he lives in South Central WA just north of the Colombia River...2 hours east of Portland) he said it is soooo cold. Its cold here too and snowy. My husband is not happy about it either, he has to work out in it :(

I got a load of wood delivered last night to try and help offset the cost of heating this big ole house!!!!

Good morning everyone, Happy Saturday :) I think that I am getting dementia, last night I was wrapping gifts for my kids....and one of the xmas list gifts that I got my daughter....I could not find, I was tearing the place up like a madwoman trying to find it...I know that my husband was thinking that I was crazy because I was determined to find the item.

Praise the Lord, I woke up this morning and I thought....did I put it in the cabinet under the sink in the master bathroom? It was there tucked away....I am so so happy to put that episode behind me :) My 8 yr old daughter does not have a feminine bone in her body and she loves wresling, so I got her the new smackdown vrs raw 2009 game (that is what I was searching for)....if you were to see her wish list...you would think that I had a boy :)

I hope that everyone has a Blessed Day, especially whidbeygirl, I am sorry about all the things that you went thru yesterday with your house and your car.

To Blessed to be stressed:) I realize that all things have a purpose and a time.....have faith and the Lord Almighty will provide... when the time is right, he NEVER fails!

Good morning.

I do that sometimes, hiding a gift so well that I can't find it again

:) It was funny, my husband is working today and he just called me, I said "Honey, I found Alexis gift that I was looking for last night" and he said "Oh, the one that you thought I threw away" hahahahaha...I don't recall saying that, but who knows :)

Technical question. I put one of those ticker things in my signature, but it isn't updating, it still says the same thing as when I first created it a half an hour a go. Anyone know how to fix it?

Don't worry, the northeast is in the middle of a two day snow storm. But only two feet of snow. Bassi doesn't seem to want to learn how to use the snowthrower, so he's shoveling. Whatever! As long as I'm not doing it. About the pipes, open all the lower cabinets under your sinks to let the heat get it. It'll help speed up the process of thawing them out. Sorry about that. Always leave the pipes running a little trickle to avoid them freezing when the weather is going below zero, even if you have insulation.

A good afternoon to all !

I'm still waiting for FedeX to deliver my Christmas present to myself.....an expensive pair of Canadien Mukluks.

Hope everyone has a blessed, warm and peaceful day!

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.
