Tammy - it said something along the lines of if you have been waiting for FBI checks for at least 180 days USCIS must issue the green card until their is evidence that it should be revoked, if any. Does that apply to you?

I found this part rather interesting:

In march and April of 2008, the NNCP finalized customor-level operations plans with USCIS and OPM, respectively. The USCIS plan for reducing the backlog of its name checks calls for placing the oldest pending name checks as the highest priority. Specifically, the NNCP segmented the USCIS name check backlog into timeframes and instructed analysts to begin focusing on the oldest pending name checks first. According to the NNCP, the segmentation of work queues reduced the backlog of name checks older than 4 years from 12,000 to 3,000 between the inception of this initiative in November 2007 and March 2008. The NNCP and USCIS hope to have addressed all name checks pending more than 2 years by July 2008, and those pending more than 1 year by November 2008. Likewise, the OPM operations plan discusses eliminating all OPM name checks pending for over 40 days by April 2009. Both plans rely on using the NNCP's current processes and state that the FBI is issuing a statement of work designed to obtain the services of a contractor to reengineer the name check process with contemporary technology and business practices.

Julia,

I very much appreciate you thinking about me and my husband. Yes this would have had some chance of applying at the 180 day mark or the next 180 day mark. Now we are told that AP is done so right now we know that is not the issue but what is the issue, we don't know.

He needs to redo his medical. If they ask for that, then everything is set. It has been a year, they should really issue this visa. But I don't call on the embassy, I call to God for help.

I hope you get some answers as well and remember, there IS an end to AP.

God bless,

Tam

AP: Over 1 year.

Visa: Nov 2

US Entry: Nov 13, Alhamdulillah.
