Timeline
"Once approved in US, the packet goes to New Hampshire for an FBI check. This usually takes 4 weeks. The packet is then sent overseas to embassy via consular pack which can take up to 7 weeks where they will contact fiancee/spouse with packet 3. I have listed what is most commonly contained in this packet below."

I bet I know who your lawyer is as I got the exact same e-mail a while back, word for word.

I bet I know who your lawyer is as I got the exact same e-mail a while back, word for word.

these lawyers are just a waste of time and money. If they think you have no idea how the immigration process go, they will prolong it as long as possible to get paid a little extra. That's their motto in life. Good thing i got warned by my cousin who hired a lawyer and did almost nothing except filed for her petition.

"I agree to them esp to russelmarie,,samething happened to me when we used lawyer during our application...but once i got the letter from USEM,,the lawyer we hired,,its USELESS...!!!! sana nga alam ko na itong VJ b4 the application so that way we didnt hired that useless lawyer..kasi here in VJ they will help,give u lots of info and guidelines esp advice, u can do it w/out using lawyer unless u dont have heavy case or issue..

Sometimes hiring an immigration lawyer is just a waste of money if your case is not complicated. My husband hired one but I was more knowledgeable with the help of VJ than she was. She even sent the application to the wrong service center :blink:
