LOS ANGELES (AP) — A Metrolink commuter train and a freight train have collided in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles. One car of the Metrolink train has derailed along with what appears to be the engine of the freight.

Footage of the Friday afternoon collision was broadcast from a KABC-TV helicopter over the scene.

At least two dead so far, 20+ injured...

Now three confirmed dead, possibly a fourth. At least 10 critically injured. The Metrolink engine was pushed back into the first passenger car.

Let me guess - Palin was on the train...

PEOPLE: READ THE APPLICATION FORM INSTRUCTIONS!!!! They have a lot of good information in them! Most of the questions I see on VJ are clearly addressed by the form instructions. Give them a read!! If you are unable to understand the form instructions, I highly recommend hiring someone who does to help you with the process. Our process, from K-1 to Citizenship and U.S. Passport is completed. Good luck with your process.

07/28/11 USCIS cashed check

07/30/11 Recieved NOA1 and Biometrics letter

08/24/2011 Biometrics

08/25/2011 RFE sent to us for some info we've already sent in

08/30/2011 sent in the rest of info USCIS asked for

09/13/2011 went to congressman's office to sign papers for expedite of work permit, due to financial hardship

09/15/2011 Work permit expedite approved!! He can finally find a job!

09/24/2011 work permit arrives

09/26/2011 Apply for social security number!

09/30/2011 Letter is sent for interview

11/07/2011 INTERVIEW!!!

Its 2012 and still no approval! Still waiting

01/27/2012 Letter sent stating that file was sent on for more review :(

dare i ask about the enginer and conductor? :unsure: i'm expecting the enginer to be a casualty, judging by the state of the engine and cab, but Vito said if he ran back to the car he may have survied. :unsure:

They don't know yet; they are trying to find them. Also haven't heard about the people on the freight train.

I'm actually thinking the engineer would have a better chance if he stayed in the engine. It would be stronger, plus the engine was pushed far into the first car...couldn't even recognize the engine at first. The car wouldn't be a good place to run.

Technically, those locomotive engineers (different from engineers who build engines, power plants, everything that we take for granted like TV, computers, telephones) aren't in the same context as my jobs. A locomotive engineer doesn't have a college degree. More info...
