My reciept number starts with MSC... does that mean my case is not in Chicago anymore but in a state that starts with an 'm'?

Also, what does ASC code mean on it?

Stina, MSC stands for Mossouri ( i may have spelt that wrong lol). As far as I know everyone mails their aos and such to chicago, then it is sent to MSC=mossouri. The Ead and such are processed through there. As soon as your local state office is ready to take on AOS cases mossouri will then send them to your local office which is when you will soon hear about an Interview. I don't know the details about all of it I just know thats basically how it works. Hope I was some help.

ASC stands for Application Support Center. It's where you will get your fingerprinting done.

OHHH ok, the NOA said to make sure all the info was accurate, it had ASC then a 3 and i didnt know if it was accurate or not because, well i have no clue what it meant lol.

I think ours had a 3 also...and a 2 on one of them. Not sure what it means, I don't think you're supposed to (I think it's just for their records). Just check the other info that you know and make sure it's all right (name, address etc.).

I believe ASC code 3, means complete fingerprinting and photo, hence it is on the NOA1 for I-485.

Whereas ASC code 2, means just thumb print and photo and is for I-765.
