Listening to sirens at present. There are always sirens going in this little New England town. Never seems to stop. We WERE going to take an apartment next to a firehouse - SURE glad we didn't... they seem to be coming & going all the time.

When I lived on Elgin Street in Ottawa, that was my life. If it was sirens from firefighters or policemen, it was drunk people making their own sirens. haha

Im not joking! I saw/heard LOTSA things on that street hehe

Oh i don't doubt it :) tee hee.. we live in the "quiet" section of our city supposedly .. and if it's not my neighbors screaming at their children to "sit there and shut up" :wacko:, it's this poor lonely dog on my street that barks for hours at a time, or it's the sirens.. oh the sirens...

I guess it makes life interesting really. When I am at my parents house in Canada,in the suburbs, I do sleep well. It's just me and the crickets and I like that. When I was a student though, those street lights and street screams were almost keeping me alive at times and I do miss them.

Now I live in the suburbs of a mildly dangerous town. Some times I don't sleep well at night because of it.

This past week I have had a renewed love for Bob Seger.

Working on those night moves??

I don't listen to a lot of music that is played on the radio..pretty much none to be exact. I'm a huge underground music scene kind of girl. Plus I listen to a lot of..hardcore music.

ANy ways, I've been listening to a little bit of Mates of State. (nevada..help me out here! haha)

There is a new BBC show called Gavin and Stacey. The theme song is called Run by Stephen Fretwell and I really like it.

Beejay you rock. We can now include you in our music circle since you are a fan of T&S and Wolf Parade. Sprailenes and I are def. going to take Philly by storm.

For music on the internet you guys should check thecurrent.org That's a local radio station out of here run by minnesota public radio but you can stream it over the internet. They have an awesome and eclectic array of music that they play. Including a lot of the bands we've mentioned. You can podcast their 'current song' of the day and get a new song every day for itunes. This past week has included Michael Franti (of Spearhead) and Calexico. They've also had dresden dolls, steroeolab, dandy warhols etc. Check it out http://minnesota.publicradio.org/radio/services/the_current/

Funny how when some people are down they choose sad music and some choose happy music to cheer them up!
