I-864 Not recieved by NVC

Hi

My cousin had mailed I-864 on 9-8-08 Mon by overnight mail to NVC and received by NVC on Tuesday 9-9-08, and today is Thursday and still the AVR is not saying the I-864 has been received by NVC.

When I mailed my I-864 back in June, the AVR was updated the next day it was received.

Should my cousin be worried or give it a day or two to show up in AVR.

I have told my cousin to call NVC tomorrow and talk to them about it.

NVC AVR has been anything BUT accurate for me, I can call them and it says "NO RECORD FOUND" and my case has been with them since 8-22...it seems to be better to call and talk to an live operator lately...good luck

It's a good idea to call operators and ask. And yes, AVR is a few days behind usually, and also it takes them extra 1-2 days to enter received forms into their system. So do not worry, but good idea to call.

They are probably processing the AOS package. Once they complete the processing it will be entered into their system. Good luck.

I think it depends what they received first in the mail. as this is my second time around and doing this for my cousin, it was much easier to do then mine as her case has some bumps in the road like I-864 did not get registered in the AVR until yesterday and giving trouble in getting the police certificate
