hi everyone,yesterday i had my fingerprints done,but i only took my driver license as an id and all the sudden they asked me for my CGC i said i did not bring it and the lady was not happy she said (do you carry your green card with you i said yes i just forgot it at home i did not know you would ask me for it)she said let me ask the officer and see what he is going to say,so she took my apointment letter and driver license and went in after 1 minute he came out and called my name and he told me where is your conditional green card i said i did not bring it,he said what are we going to do with you now,i said its up to you and he said give me a minute and he went back to his office with my documents and after 1 min the lady called me and she said you are lucky,i had my fingerprints done but on my fingerprints apointement letter he wrote at the buttom (provide your Pemenant residency card next time you make a CIS visit) iam just worried why wrote that ,does that mean i will be called for an interview???? or everything is fine??what do you think guys ??thanks a lot.

You are supposed to carry that card and present it if asked as proof of legal residency. That could have gotten ugly, you were somewhat lucky. As far as the note, that is your copy, he was just reminding you that you need to carry it.

I just think it was an FYI kinda thing.... we are supposed to carry it with us all the time, just like our State ID's or driving licenses, but let's face it, we all leave our wallets home from time to time and I think that's why you were allowed to have youre prints done today.

I'm sure they can see in the system you have one and you are there removing conditions.

I know it's easier said than done in cases like these but I wouldn't worry too much about this.

If there had been a real prob, they would've probably turned you down today and sent you home to reschedule your biometrics, but they didnt!

And they can verify your current prints against those taken for your AOS!

So I think you're cool!

Don't worry about that.

Exactly the same thing happenned to me when i went to had my biotmetrics done. I hadn't brought my green card,had only my driver license...when they asked for my green card, i said that i didnt bring and showed the biotmeric notice and said "it doesn't say anything about we need to bring green card , says only photo ID " then they told me that i always must carry my green card. but anyway i had my biotmetrics done.. didnt have any problem

I would not even worry about it, they never asked me for mine, just my Drivers license. This does not mean anything you can stop freaking out and sleep tight.
