Let's be fair. She said if Georgia was a member of NATO and Russia invaded Georgia, then perhaps we'd have to go to war with Russia.

That is, after all, what the treaty requires.

If we don't want to go to war with Russia, perhaps we should not let Georgia into NATO.

Right but for some, it's "treaty schmeaty". Maybe if we don't want to live up to our treaty agreements, we should just withdraw from NATO. Does the treaty allow us to do that?

Uh, that would be illegal. Something many Americans overlook, in their rants against NATO, or the UN, or Geneva convention is, these treaties are law of the land, and are no less than any other U.S. law.
